== Description ==
Sparring (Right-click on opponent, select Sparring - Spar) is a "friendly" fight between two opponents, to which both parties must consent in order totake place. As such, it is a relative "relatively safe" and controlled PvP fight that can happen on PvE servers.
== Notes ==
*No fighting or weapon skill is gained by Sparringsparring, although any weapon, some items, and even weaponless fighting approaches can be used.
*The server issues a "Stop" message just before either the losing party is killedwhich automatically then stops the sparring match. The winner may not loot the loser, who should still be alive at the end of the spar.
== Warnings ==
 * Sometimes On occasion, lag experienced during the latter part of the stop message doesn't get through in time! Don't spar if sparring match can cause the server is showing signs of lagmatch to erroneously continue on to a kill.* There For this reason, players are ways best served by paying attention during the match so as to stop it should it not stop on its own due to kill in a spar. e.g. using a weapon with [[Rotting Touch]] can leave wounds that worsen quicklylag or connection issues. *In Just as in regular combat, damage inflicted in sparring is real damage, to the past, winning a spar or a duel would give you [[Outlaw]] statusplayer and their armour and weapons. It is not known whether this is still therefore recommended players also be able to heal, in some fashion, after the fight so as to avoid the casecontinued worsening of injuries which can lead to death.
