→‎In Case Of Emergency: There's a lot of stuff here now, but we'll see if it proves to be useful.
# Items covered must be mailed. I won't deliver the items or arrange for someone else to deliver them.

== Bidder Protections ==

Auction bidders are granted certain protections against unfair, invalid, or fake bids. This section spells out what those protections are.

=== General Protections ===

# Anyone may ask me to issue an announcement clarifying which bid is the leading bid, at any time while an auction is in progress. This is usually only necessary when one or more bids is believed to be fake or unfair, since invalid bids always result in an announcement being made.
# I may add additional time to an auction if I believe that the smooth running of the auction was interrupted for any reason, so people have enough time to bid. Time can be added even if the original auction time has expired, so nobody technically wins an auction until I make an announcement declaring a winner.
# If a bidder is suspected of placing a fake bid, I may require that bidder to show proof of their ability to cover their bid. Proof must be in the form of a screenshot, show enough coin between inventory and bank to cover the bid, and show a ''/time'' output confirming that the screenshot was taken after proof was asked for. Bidders unable to provide this proof have their bids invalidated, but adjustments are made at my discretion.
# Bidders I don't want to do business with and bidders who post an abusive number of unfair, invalid, or fake bids will be barred from participating in my auctions. I don't want to have to resort to this.

=== Adjusted Bids ===

# If a bidder has their bid adjusted due to unfair, invalid, or fake bids, their bid price is reduced to the adjusted price until they re-bid, to maintain a fair auction.
# If an auction ends with any adjusted bid holders having original bids greater than the leading bid price, the leading bid is not necessarily the winner. A second auction lasting 24 hours must take place between the leading bidder and any outstanding adjusted bid holders to resolve the bid adjustments.
# During the second auction, the first auction's leading bid becomes the starting bid. Qualifying adjusted bid holders must bid no less than their original bid prices to participate in the second auction, and there is no buyout offered. Runoff time and snipe protection can take effect in the second auction even if they took effect in the first auction, but are collectively capped at 24 hours of additional time. Otherwise, the second auction has the same terms as the first one, but with a limited set of eligible bidders.
# There will be no further bid adjustments or third auctions run, in an effort to speed up the bidding process. Whoever wins the second auction will win the auction item.
== In Case Of Emergency ==
These rules cover special cases that are unlikely to occurhow an auction will proceed if things start going wrong. You can safely ignore these if you're tired of reading, since I'll always announce their effects in the auction if they apply.  === Invalid Bids === # I will make an announcement whenever I spot an invalid bid. Bidders are also encouraged to speak up when they believe a bid is invalid. # For each bid placed in response to the invalid bid before my announcement is made, the bid price is adjusted down by the invalid bid's price increase. # If the invalid bid has been clearly ignored by a bid placed after it, the ignoring bid does not need to be adjusted. # Adjusted bids have their own set of rules. Please see the '''Adjusted Bids''' section under '''Bidder Protections'''. === Shenanigans ===
# I still need to write these. Come back tomorrow.
# If nothing else says how something should be done, I reserve the right to make an executive decision.
# Executive decisions made will often come with a time extension of the auction due to the time spent without an answer.
