The console is a window for entering text commands to the client. It can be opened using {{key|F1}} in the default key bindings. Console commands are different from [[chat commands]], which are typed in the chat and sent directly to the server.

== List of commands ==

Console commands are small commands to use in the console, to change settings. These commands can also be used in [[Client Key Bindings|autorun.txt for defining key bindings]].

; bind <key> <action> : Binds the key to the specified action. See the [[#Key binds|key section]] for <key> and <action> values.
; bind <key> "<text>" : Binds the key to a console command. Pressing the key will act as if you had typed the text into the console.
; cmd <num> : Raw fight commands, use with care.
; dump (skills) : Saves the specified data to a file in the wurm directory.
; exec <filename> : Executes each line in the file as a console command.
; fightmove<1-5> : Use fight special move 1-5. (No space in the command.)
; irc [server] [port] : Connects to the specified [[IRC]] network. Defaults are irc.heavenlyplace.net and 6667.
; ircsay <text> : Sends the text to the topmost IRC window.

The bind commands require special values as input.

<key> is based on Java key constants. Letters and numbers represent themselves. For other keys, search [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/awt/event/KeyEvent.html the full KeyEvent list] if you can't guess the correct name.

<action> is based on an internal client list. The known values are based on autorun.txt. They are: <tt>NEXT_TAB, TOGGLE_CHAT, AUTORUN, CENTER_VIEW, TURN_DOWN, TURN_UP, TURN_LEFT, TURN_RIGHT, MOVE_FORWARD, MOVE_BACK, MOVE_LEFT, MOVE_RIGHT, STRAFE</tt>

In November 2007, more "keys" were added: <tt>FIGHT_DEFENSIVE, FIGHT_NORMAL, FIGHT_AGGRESSIVELY, TOGGLE_CLIMB, TOGGLE_FAITHFUL, TOGGLE_LAWFUL</tt> (there is no key option for spam mode)

I'm currently residing on home server. I mainly do [[Carpentry|carpentry]] and [[Woodcutting|woodcutting]] and do little in other skills. I'm working for the carpentry title at the moment! I started playing in October 2004 and the Gold 2 map is my 6th map. I was in Stronghold in my first map, and Darkwood in my second and third maps. In the fourth map I did very little, and towards the end I helped around Greentown. In the fifth map I did participate in a revival of Darkwood/Stronghold with Dramen, but not much happened.

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people ([[Player:Northernstar|Northernstar]], [[Player:Clipcomet|Clipcomet]] & [[Player:Wintersolstice|Wintersolstice]]) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined [[Player:Fathertime|Fathertime]] and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people ([[Player:Northernstar|Northernstar]], [[Player:Clipcomet|Clipcomet]] & [[Player:Wintersolstice|Wintersolstice]]) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined [[Player:Fathertime|Fathertime]] and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

= Introduction =

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people (Northernstar, Clipcomet & Wintersolstice) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined Fathertime and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

== About me ==

I'm in [[Rivendell]], a really good town. I mainly do [[Carpentry|carpentry]] and [[Woodcutting|woodcutting]] and do little in other skills. I'm working for the carpentry title at the moment! I started playing in October 2004 and the Gold 2 map is my 6th map. I was in Stronghold in my first map, and Darkwood in my second and third maps. In the fourth map I did very little, and towards the end I helped around Greentown. In the fifth map I did participate in a revival of Darkwood/Stronghold with Dramen, but not much happened.

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people (Northernstar, Clipcomet & Wintersolstice) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined Fathertime and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

For the felled tree right click than select Chop Down to create [[log]]s, Now double click either your Small Axe or [[Carving Knife]] than Right click the log and select Create > Miscellaneus > Kindling. Now that you have a [[Kindling]] Double click your [[Steel and Flint]] and right click the Kindling and Select: Create > [[Campfire]]

== Combining all three things to cook ==
First off you should Forage and Botanize, now create your Clay Bowl and BEFORE you heat up the Clay Bowl put the Foraged and Botanized items in the Bowl then put it in a Campfire (Please note that the food will only cook in a pottery bowl, so you may have to wait for a clay bowl to turn into a pottery bowl). If you already have a finished pottery bowl just put your food in the bowl and put it in the campfire. Note that you can add more than just one Foraged or Botanized Item in a bowl for a Larger Casserole. We'll cover the recipe for [[Meal]] on this page as it's currently the most useful recipe.

==[[Meal]]==
To create a meal you will need a [[Vegetables|Vegetable]] and a piece of [[Meat]] or [[Fish]]. Heat them up to searing hot and put them in a [[Frying Pan]], and you will have a meal. Various low-nutrition foods like bread, berries or cheese can be added to the frying pan to make your meal larger. QL of the meal will in most cases equal your skill in hot food cooking, unless you try to cook a meal with too high difficulty.

==My cooking will not go up, why?==
You are probably cooking too high or low difficulty food, at Cooking Level 1 cook a couple of 3-5 Difficulty Foods, to check the difficulty Right Click then Examine the bowl it will also tell you what the food will turn out as. Try cooking lots of stews at once to gain cooking skill faster.

Gaining cook skill is a mystery, although Rolf has posted on the forums the way it should work, what works for one player doesn't always work for another. Use trial and error to find what works best for you.

Using 1 [[cooked meat]] and 1 veggie works well until about skill 30. Once you get to 30, skill gain seems to slow down and you will prolly only get skill for every 5-10 meals. You can also use [[corn]] as a component, which is especially nice since you can grow your own and will not have to go out search for ingredients.

== Combining all three things to cook ==
First off you should Forage and Botanize, now create your Clay Bowl and BEFORE you heat up the Clay Bowl put the Foraged and Botanized items in the Bowl then put it in a Campfire (Please note that the food will only cook in a pottery bowl, so you may have to wait for a clay bowl to turn into a pottery bowl). If you already have a finished pottery bowl just put your food in the bowl and put it in the campfire. Note that you can add more than just one Foraged or Botanized Item in a bowl for a Larger Casserole. We'll cover the recipe for [[Meal]] on this page as it's currently the most useful recipe.

To create a meal you will need a [[Vegetables|Vegetable]] and a piece of [[Meat]] or [[Fish]]. Heat them up to searing hot and put them in a [[Frying Pan]], and you will have a meal. Various low-nutrition foods like bread, berries or cheese can be added to the frying pan to make your meal larger. QL of the meal will in most cases equal your skill in hot food cooking, unless you try to cook a meal with too high difficulty.

You are probably cooking too high or low difficulty food, at Cooking Level 1 cook a couple of 3-5 Difficulty Foods, to check the difficulty Right Click then Examine the bowl it will also tell you what the food will turn out as. Try cooking lots of stews at once to gain cooking skill faster.

Gaining cook skill is a mystery, although Rolf has posted on the forums the way it should work, what works for one player doesn't always work for another. Use trial and error to find what works best for you.

Using 1 [[cooked meat]] and 1 veggie works well until about skill 30. Once you get to 30, skill gain seems to slow down and you will prolly only get skill for every 5-10 meals. You can also use [[corn]] as a component, which is especially nice since you can grow your own and will not have to go out search for ingredients.

= Rivendell =

== Introduction ==

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people (Northernstar, Clipcomet & Wintersolstice) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined Fathertime and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people (Northernstar, Clipcomet & Wintersolstice) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined Fathertime and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

== The history of the town of Hammerfell ==

The second oldest town in Wurm, Hammerfell had its roots as an unofficial satellite of Whosville. After the fall of WV however, the people of Hammerfell struck out as their own entity. Settling in a narrow valley, we founded a small village and named it Pit because of the location and its mining effort. But the town of Pit was short lived. After a betrayal from within Pit met its destruction and we began searching for a new home. After exploring vast lands, Krelos led us to our home in the mountains. Here we grew in size and power and gained a reputation as some of the greatest road builders. But it was not meant to last.

The great cataclysm struck and all that was ceased to be. We found ourselves in a new land of virgin forests and fierce trolls. It was in this place we finally took the name Hammerfell and grew into a great city. Peace was foreign to this land and raiders roamed free across the world. It was during a time of peace, declared by the gods themselves, that the raiders struck at us. They escaped with such stealth that even the servants of the gods did not see them as they emptied our storehouses of gold. Outraged at the gods indifference to this crime against their decree, we struck back at them in full force and crippled their base of operations. Or so we thought. Over the next few months reports of new attacks began to come in. Eventually entire towns were destroyed and many survivors sought refuge with us, telling stories of terrifying warriors who could not be killed.

In the end we too were assaulted by this mysterious force. They bled out of the forest near Hammerfell and walked toward the walls with steady complacency. Shouts went up and our warriors went out to meet them as the archers climbed the wall. When they reached our men we realised why they were invulnerable. They were the very same raiders we had slain many months before, now walking dead and unable to die a second time. Though there was far fewer of them, they quickly overwhelmed our force and made for the walls even as they were filled with arrows. All seemed lost and we were forced to flee the city with what we could carry. From a hilltop some kilometers away we could see the fires burning Hammerfell to the ground and sending a column of smoke into the clouds. All we had known for so long, destroyed in a single night. We also learned that our close neighbors and allies, Daargard and Asgard, had met the same fate that night.

Those who had the desire to rebuild returned to the city several days later. The long process had barely begun however when a messenger from the gods came. He told us that soon all would be remade, all that was lost would be regained and we would be taken to a new world. That night we went to sleep in our ruined city but woke atop a hill in a place we did not know.

Some of us chose to reject violence utterly and founded [[the Abbey]] of Lhasa. Others wanted to learn the dark ways and gain the power that we had seen in the undead. Still others wanted to pursue a peaceful life, much as they had always known. And so for many years, Hammerfell ceased to be. But now our return is at hand and we will raise up a great kingdom, united by the banner of Hammerfell. A kingdom of strength and honor, standing against the darkness that creeps out from the Black Altar.

== Introduction ==

Rivendell is the new name, for a newly built town, on a newly created map of Wurm. But it is the 4th incarnation, of what the concepts and beliefs, of a small group of people (Northernstar, Clipcomet & Wintersolstice) who saw the need for change from within the game of 'Wurm Online' was needed at the player level and decided to do something about it.

So Northernstar invited the newbie Wintersolstice, who was then named Mrasshole, to join the town of [[White Templers]] on the northern coast, one of the two nearest settlement to the isle that held the [[Altar of Three]] and the [[White Light]], the other was the [[Mist|Hidden City of Mist]]. Clipcomet took the newbie under his wing and helped him out when needed. The map ended not long after and the last beta map soon would start.

When the last Beta map started Wintersolstice joined Fathertime and a couple others, headed to the northeast corner of the map and found Haven Lake and the spot for the town of [[Haven]].

I'm in [[Rivendell]], a really good town. I mainly do [[Carpentry|carpentry]] and [[Woodcutting|woodcutting]] and do little in other skills. I'm working for the carpentry title at the moment! I started playing in October 2004 and the Gold 2 map is my 6th map. I was in Stronghold in my first map, and Darkwood in my second and third maps. In the fourth map I did very little, and towards the end I helped around Greentown. In the fifth map I did participate in a revival of Darkwood/Stronghold with Dramen, but not much happened.
