= History =
Cono started in early Gold 2 as a new player coming from New Town. He quickly joined the village of [[Tuscany Pointe]] and founded the homestead of Tuscany Foundry. He terraformed the deed with the help of the members of [[Tuscany Pointe]]. As time progressed he quickly got bored of the Home Server and decided to head to Wild. He joined the Mol-Rehan town of [[Vindicator's Den]] under the rule of [[Player:Garrettwademan|Garrettwademan]]. The town was at the front lines and had a lot of action. Unfortunately Cono decided to leave the front lines because of differences in the town. He then took a long walk toward [[Camelot]].

I tested it out before making this page actually and [[Player:Edmazur]] didn't come up in the search results. To see what I mean, try searching for "cono". Neither your user nor player page appears in the results. The technical reason this happens is because databases can't utilize indexes when pattern strings begin with wildcards. So I made this page to act as a redirect to my player page, but it seems this is frowned upon. I'm just wondering if there's an alternative way of doing what I want to do that conforms to Wurm/MediaWiki standards. Ah neat, I see what you mean. I hadn't noticed those namespace options before at the bottom of the search page. It doesn't search the Players namespace by default, but it looks like you can change your personal defaults on your preference page. Ideally, I'd like my name to come up without either having to check the Players namespace box or having to change default search options, but at least I see the Wurm/MediaWiki way of doing it now I guess. After entering the one-way gate to the wild landing, Kakolukia asked the guide for his help. Luckily enough, Kakolukia was pretty much selfsupplying and didn't like to rely on others for his surviveability. After asking around the directions for Pirate Outpost, he started his journey, which miraculously took twice as long as the second time he had to walk to it.

After arriving at Pirate Outpost he quickly reached for the mines and started practicing his forging and smithing skills. Asking what the lads atreally needed, he got suggested to start a career as platesmith, and so he did. After practicing blacksmithing for a while, he had to go to the woods to chop down some trees. However, night fell and he was offroad, his lantern was dry on tar and he didn't know where he was. Wandering for an hour or so, he encountered a murdered unicorn.

It was strange sight to see such magnificent horse dead, on the ground. There were no tracks around it and it seemed the unicorn had been butchered already. However, the pelt still was lying a few steps away from the corpse, he quickly grabbed it and started searching for directions. However, in his manic panic he hit a tree, fell down the hill and broke his neck.

... The void is a scary place, I tell you...

Experiencing his first of many deaths, he got sucked back into the light. It seemed it was day again and he was back at the Pirate outpost. Not minding the comments of people that they found his corpse a stone throw in the forest, he went back to work.

Right now, I'm making coal in the forest, which is a harsh practice for me. Steel production is going slow also, as the iron is low quality. Seems the grasshoppers of Pirate outpost took all the good stuff to make their own stuff with it, no smart in my opinion.

After figuring who did it, I didn't yell, no... I just calmly told them they should use the dense iron to make their tools. I continued on forging...

Checking the now extinguished piles of charcoal, I grabbed the tar and coal I needed quickly and ran back to my shack (it's only a wooden house, enough space for a table, bed and a chest or cart). Now I'm finding myself mining in the cave for more low quality ore...

Life can be hard!

Life can be harsh indeed. It saddens me to say that my adventure halts here, as I got betrayed by the lamers of Pirate outpost. I feel sorry for those who respect fellow players and do not get their fun out of griefing others.

It's almost like starting all over, except that I have the knowledge now.

== History ==

As all the ancient stories tell us, When the world split, the lands divided and from this breaking of the Earth an island was formed, an island blessed by the gods themselves. The isle of Saint Minas.

As the mainland was tamed by culture and vast cities, we turned south to this island paradise. A small, exclusive isle that was granted all the necessary natural resources we could desire. The bounty of fish was great and game stalked the forest. And thus, our journey begins. The creation of the great island fortress, Saint Minas.

The Island Fortress of Saint Minas is looking for citizens to tend to the construction and development of the isle. This is not a task to take lightly as it requires strength, effort and willpower. The current population of the island is small but it is growing, space is limited and only those who can ship out immediately can make it.

Though the trip is dangerous, the emissaries with a little help from the gods will grant you safe passage from most major cities to this island.

The spyglass was a special item given out in Christmas 2006 to premium players at [[Newtown]] or the lights. Due to the server crash in April 2007, they have been lost but they are given back after the reset as trinkets (regardless of if you had one or not).

Spyglasses works like telescopes, allowing you to zoom your view in, increase your highlight distance and providing you with a distance measurement. This makes the spyglass useful for scouting the land, finding players or hunting targets and measuring exact tile distances at archery.

All spyglasses are made out of [[brass]], but they cannot be created by players.

How to Cross Servers

==Crossing to Wild From Home server==

If you wish to cross from Home server and travel to Wild server, go to the nearest token of a [[settlement]] i.e. [[Newtown]], and look on the token at the compass and look for '''West'''. Once you see what direction west is, try to use the land around you so you can recognize that direction is west. You can do this by using mountains, roads or forests. E.G. "When i face west, Axe mountain is ahead of me, so in future to head west if i lose my sense of direction, I'll just head towards Axe mountain."

Once you've hit the very far west coast and cant see anything else west of you but ocean, you're almost there! Now, you just need to swim across that ocean and eventually you'll be transported to wild server. From the coast to the server edge is quite a swim, but its not as daunting as it is when you first see the horizon.

When crossing into the wild server you want to cross into the land of the kingdom you want to be in. If you cross over at the south part of the home server, you will end up in the HOTS kingdom. If you cross over at the north part of the home server you will enter JK. MR is generally located on west side of the wild server so you will need to travel across the map to get to it.

Manny, do you really call that a tutorial? you don't NEED to flatten the ground for a road, the flatten function rarely works the way it should and you don't go through the whole thing in a step by step process... all you do infact, is practically link to the paving skill. I was just hoping for something a little more definitive like the Woodcutting or Pottery Tutorials that guides you through virtually the entire process as though you know nothing, which in many cases is true, thus the tutorial, instead of divying up the information by name... : That page is listed here because I merged the road construction tutorial with the paving skill page and moved them here from the newbie links page. I think having seperate tutorials from the skill pages isn't good. Information will often get unnecessarily redundant, incorrect and contradictory. Users will often not know where to look for the information they need.

Northern Haven is a size 5 village on the Home server.
Founded by Zamuel and Thallin on july 18th 2007.
Zamuel currently has possesion of the deed however Drago is one who runs and is responsible for the village as zamuel decided to decline playing again.
Drago is also the co-mayor of the village since Thallin decided to quit wurm for games with crappier graphics than Runescape Classic.

Located next to Eastern Harbour,it has 50ql forges and plenty of iron veins proven to be 50ql. the vast forest behind the town is a good hunting area with fierce scorpions,unicorns and alert bear spawning from the locan lairs. many other lairs are within a 10 minute radius of the town.
it has the unique position of having clay several tiles off deed making a masons life far easier.
the farm has been proven to provide more than the towns needs and as such provides a large skill sink for potential farmers to enjoy.
