== Description ==
An item with which you can raise your fighting skill. To fight it, you must have an item in your right hand, preferably a [[shaft]] so that you won't damage the doll too much. The lower the quality of the shaft, the less damage you will cause, therefore the practice doll will last longer.

You can raise your fighting skill to a maximum of 20 using a doll. To gain more skill points after that you must fight in real combat.

You can also practice with a bow equipped, this will train archery, fighting, and the type of bow at the same time. But it's much slower for archery than an [[archery target]], and it damages the doll more than a shaft.

If you keep the quality of the doll as high as possible, you won't damage it as much per hit. You will still get the same amount of skill, no matter how much damage you do or don't cause.

[[Emoo]] began Wurm during the start of Gold2, where he moved to [[Starblaze]], a size 5 village East of [[Newtown]]. Starblaze ran out of upkeep and, hence, disbanded. Emoo and his friend [[Dilzi]] left and created two Homesteads next to each other on a hill. [[Emoo's Fortress]] was destined for greatness, but fell short when Emoo and Dilzi left and bought a village themselves, [[Halcyon]]. When Mol Rehan was released on Wild, Emoo left for Wild to join [[Blah blah blah insert story here]].

Emoo then met up with Dilzi again and created [[Validus]]. Validus was Emoo's greatest achievement. Once Mol Rehan Home was released, he and Dilzi set sail in his new boat. Emoo visited his old friends at [[Whatever it's called]] [[Insert names here]] during a brief stop to rest.

He then created a homestead on the MR-H server, [[named Invictus]], where he currently resides.

As of [[Whatever date]], Emoo became a [[CM]]

==History==
Gavin (mayor and founder) first joined Wurm - like most - completely ignorant to the ways of Wurm. He quickly met Siementaa, who showed him how to play properly before he decided to embark upon a journey to build his own village atop a hill. 
After realizing the location he had chosen was not adequate for a decently-sized settlement, he moved back to an area around Newtown and started Southlands. 
Having many problems with the locals in the area, he once again set off to deed an area with his newly acquired size 10 village deed. It wasn't an easy task to find a proper area, however after much searching he decided to place his deed atop a large hill overlooking a beautiful lake, with many veins of different ore types, water, many different trees, clay, and almost all other resources that are required. 
Since founding, building, and recruiting a few members, Gavin (with the help of citizens) has expanded Cliffside into several different size 5 deeds and plans to expand it further with four more size 5's. Many citizens of Cliffside are currently working on various projects which include: a town hall, roads, a kitchen, and guard towers to line the highway and surrounding areas. 

Cliffside is a rather secure location being on side a cliff the back is all fenced off and has 2 50ql guard towers there making up 10 tower guards covering the back, There is also 2 complete tower guards out the from one down near the water and another near the trader they are both 50ql aswell, Cliffside has a size 10 which consist's of 5 spirit guards and 2 Size 5's that have 3 medium guards on each, We plan to have a load more towers soon and have 2 planned and almost finished

We now have 5 guard towers up all of which will soon be 50ql to offer the ultimest protection we also plan to build a few more ;]

We plan to make cliffside a safe haven in case anything mischievous ever finds its way into homeserver

== The Reborn City ==
It is currently under construction and soon become once again a great city. The Vires merchant can be found on the east road and is currently stocking basic tools and chain armour. 

We have no goal but to continue growing, to offer strength and support to players young and old, to add Wurm economy in whatever way possible.

== Locating Vires ==
You can get to Vires by take the east road out of [[Newtown]] and following that until you reach a crossroads with a [[Guard Tower]]. Take the left turn and stay on that road until you reach Vires. You will pass by many other towns including [[Hilltop]].
