Drago is a player on the Freedom Server, he belongs to the village Valley Of The Gods.

Player History:
Drago began Wurm as a novice invited by his friend from another game, Zamuel. This was back before the highways were complete and the only way to get to the settlement his friends had began was to venture through the spider infested woods to the east coast. Zamuel and Thallin escorted him but in the end all 3 were chased across creation by the mass of creatures. After hitting the eastern coast the three swam over the clay sea bed and eventually they made their way to the settlement, at the time a simple homestead.
It was not long till he developed a keen interest in mining, terraforming and carpentry, and a bitter dislike of cooking and smithing to match. It did not take long till he became an established member, building the town farm and villa area used for charcoal piles.
He became good friends with the local neighbours as well, often ending up there battered from venturing through the woods and narrowly escaping spiders in the valleys of the western forest. Elias would often patch him up and send him on his way with some cotton or supplies.

As the days went by he came closer to this beloved land, but the dreaded 'Real Life' would play a treacherous role. It was deemed that he should travel with his family, leaving behind the beautiful lands of Wurm for all but a fortnight, a small modest time, but all it took to shake the foundations of the village of Northern Haven.
Upon his return to the lands of Wurm Drago found himself alone, with not a sign of a soul's presence for many days.
What had become of his fellow villagers? He did not know, but at a loss to see his beloved village in decay, he paid the guards in his mayors stead and began work on the restoration of the area.

Days passed, without a word from his friends he began to look elsewhere for encouragement into his continued Wurmian times. He became a frequent voice in the kingdom of Jenn-Kellon and endeavored to take part in activities in his local area.
It was from this that he first met someone, who, unknown to him, would be his best singular encounter of his Wurmian life.
It was a sunny day, as per usual, if you don't count the downpours of rain and pea soup that would limit his sight to mere meters.
A prominent figure in the kingdom had arranged a mass hunt to destroy the menacing goblins taking refuge on the eastern isles, a common trip, and coincidentally it set off across the sea just down the coast from the village he had now become the proprietor of after a final visit from his friend Zamuel, who was never to be seen again after.

So, seeking to immerse himself in new encounters, he set off to meet with the band of hunters, proudly wearing his hand crafted cotton wear and a longsword found in a strange pile mere meters from a drooling spider.
The hunt began, crossing the calm waters to the eastern isles. As the group made their way in-land, picking off the straggling goblins which had not the sense to hide in the woods after seeing such an array of men with swords in hand come to towards them.
The progress was swift and ruthless at first, that is to say until people had begun to lose one another in the midst of the fighting.
The further you went into this dark and deadly woods, the faster goblins would ambush you from the branches above. but that was not what made people worry.

Deep within the forest lay the venerable spiders, several meters in diameter they would tear a man limb from limb. As there reputation deemed, they began to stalk those who had separated from the group. No one understood the ramblings of the men in the distance as they fell to the fierce beasts till it was too late and they had been sent back to Newtown stripped of their possessions but spared their lives by the gods powers. At this point the fighters knew what awaited behind the hills and out of sight, this quick jostle to the mind had them calm their nerves and they regrouped. It was decided to find the lost companions possessions and to lure the spider away from them using the cover of water, a spiders folly.
So the search began, Drago had scowered the hills, and being one of the few who knew the terrain had located the lost goods down a steep hill. This was not all however, as he found yet another companion still alive from the spider, or so he thought. In truth this hunter had beaten him to find the goods but had fallen through a vast thorn bush barely able to move. This particular fellow was named Metaldragon.

Further information
Drago was the former owner of Northern Haven but disbanded the village when he and the other villagers moved to wild to join Kyara and commuted back and forth between the two servers.
After they had decided the lifestyle of wild was not suited for them, they moved back to JK-H and joined Garden Of Destiny where several friends lived while they began their mountain village scheme. Unfortunatly, JK-H was deemed to be closed and as such the project never came to fruition.

Prior to the closure of JK-H he had placed a memorial HS in place of northern haven to keep the area as his own little resort.

He is the first known player to have hatched a dragon egg in Gold 2. The resulting hatchling was the last dragon on JK-H, named Delamore the Black, and was subsequently killed prior to the servers deletion.

At this point the fighters knew what awaited behind the hills and out of sight, this quick jostle to the mind to calm their nerves and they regrouped. It was decided to find the lost companions possessions and to lure the spider away from them using the cover of the water, a spiders folly.
He became good friends with the local neighbours as well, often ending up there battered from venturing through the woods and narrowly escaping spiders in the valleys to the western forest.

Fighting
The fighting system in wurm makes use of a term called 'Combat Rating(CR)'.
This is value for which each oponents difficulty is based. You gain 1CR per 10 overall fight skill(Pve) and then additional CR depending on wether you have the height advantage, are mounted on an animal, or lose some if not at optimal range to the target or on un-even ground.

How to Train your Fighting
The most suggested and more practical way for a begginer player to train their for skill is as follows:

Create a practice doll, equip a shaft and right click the practice doll and select 'practice'. This will make you start to attack the doll and periodically increase your overall fighting skill. This is not immensly fast, and will only work till you reach 20 Fighting Skill. Make sure the doll doesn't die. Remember to examine it often to see whether it needs repairing and or improving.

Make a Weapon, This will require access to a forge (If your new, you can use the New Dawn forge and mine) and the related equipment. It is advised you stay away from combat until you have a high quality weapon, and a decent skill in the chosen Weapon.

Train your selected weapon skill The easiest way to train your weapon skill is to simply go out and chop down a lot of tree's with it. This will work until 20 weapon Skill. Only blade weapons apply for this method (as in no mauls, and the exception of a short sword), any other weapon must be trained through combat with other creatures.

Create your equipment Cloth Armour is the easiest and simplest armour type available to make in wurm, however it provides next to no protection and isn't recommended for combat. Leather armour would be a lot more appropriate, however leather is obtained through killing wild animals, which could proove to be difficult for some, so going straight for chain armour is the safest bet, especially since mining iron ore will increase the Strength skills.

How to Train your Fighting Further
Once you have gone through the above guide, and wish to continue training fighting, then the following section would be advisable.

The Mount A Mount is an animal which is leadable by rope and can be ridden on for increased movement speed, or in this case a boost in Combat Rating. Using a Mount effectivly gives you an additional 10 Fightin Skill (2CR) and makes fighting alot easier, a good example in this case is that using a Mount would allow you to kill a Scorpion with a reasonable amount of Health left afterwards.

Use a Shield A Shield in wurm allows you to block incoming attacks from creatures, how often being based upon your Skill in the type of Shield you have chosen to use. The easiest way to train the shield is to gather a number(2-3) of pigs or another weak animal and attack them all at once. This method will allow you to reach 20 Shield Skill with general ease, after that its advisable to use penned Dogs.

DO NOT turn your back on the enemy In Wurm, there is a penalty to your chance to parry, dodge or avoid an incoming attack from an enemy if you turn your back, and to a lesser degree from the sides. If you are fighting something, you want to have it facing you. Later on when you feel more confident in your fighting abilities you may wish to use this penalty against the creatures you face, all things in wurm must obey the penalty so if you can make use of it to your benefit, do so.

Raise your skills efficiently There are several skill levels which are important to aim for in regards to fighting related skills. As you know, every 10 Fight skill you gain 2 CR, so a player with 19 fight skill is no different to a fighter with 10, always go for the rounded number.

Other skill levels worth mentioning are:

30 and 50 weapon skill: At 30 and 50 weapon skill you will gain 1 second off your attack timer, and an increase in the damage you deal with the weapon in question aswell as the chance to hit.

40 skill in parryable weapons/shields: Untill you hit 40 skill in a parryable weapon/shield, you cannot parry while you move. This makes you vulnerable when moving and as such you can suffer greatly while retreating from a fight. Non parry-able weapons are the Axe line and Sycthe.

Tips to further help fighting: Team Tips
Tanking This is a method where one player fightes defensively while the people he fights along side with fight offensively, she the tank takes all the damage while his friends thrash out as much damage as possible.

Weapon Variations More people means a larger variation of weapon types you can hold between you allowing you to get the most of your enemys weakness.

Behind Attacking The players that aren't taking damage should attack the creature from behind. This decreases the creatures chance to parry what it can't see and allows you to focus much easier.

Height Advantage The tank should always get a height advantage over the enemy.

This method will allow you to reach 20 Shield Skill with general ease, after that its advisable to use a penned Rat.

Well, I hope this guide has helped you. Be sure to upgrade your Equipment/Weapons whenever possible, and make 70 fighting your long term goal. Have fun in the wilderness!

Fighting
The fighting system in wurm makes use of a term called 'Combat Rating(CR)'.
This is value for which each oponents difficulty is based. You gain 2CR per 10 overall fight skill(Pve) and then additional CR depending on wether you have the height advantage, are mounted on an animal, or lose some if not at optimal range to the target or on un-even ground.

How to Train your Fighting
The most suggested and more practical way for a begginer player to train their for skill is as follows:

Create a practice doll and equip a shaft and right click the practice doll and select 'practice'. This will make you start to attack the doll and periodically increase your overall fighting skill. This is not immensly fast, and will only work till you reach 20 Fighting.

Make a Weapon, preferably a longsword. This will require access to a forge and the related equipment, but it is advisable to start off with a longsword to defend yourself first, but..you can always use the short sword you received at the tutorial if you wish.
Weaponsmithing is not an easy skill, it is advisable to ask if someone can provide you with one. You can generall make a 15ql sword with 10 weaponsmithing.

Train your selected weapon skill The easiest way to train your weapon skill is to simply go out and chop down alot of tree's with it. This will work until 20 weapon skill. Only bladed weapons apply for this method (as in no mauls, and the exception of a short sword), any other weapon must be trained through combat with other creatures.

Create your equipment The easiest and simplest armour type available to make in wurm is the cloth armour. Its light, and provides some protection but not a huge amount. It would be suitable as your first set but it would be advisable to move up to Leather Armour or Studded Leather Armour as soon as you can. You can generally imp cloth/leather armour to 20ql with 10 in the related skill.

If you have followed the above guide, you should now have 20 overall fighting skill, 20 weapon skill, a set of armour (of at least 20ql) and a weapon (of at least 15ql) to call your own, and the knowledge of how to maintain them. These skills will allow you to fight upto at least a Bear.

He became good friends with the local neighbours as well, often ending up there battered from venturing through the woods and narrowly escaping spiders in the valleys to the western forest.

At this point the fighters knew what awaited behind the hills and out of sight, this quick jostle to the mind to calm their nerves and they regrouped. It was decided to find the lost companions possessions and to lure the spider away from them using the cover of the water, a spiders folly.

Drago:

Drago is a type of inflatable sailboat employed primarily on the Freedom Server. Presently, there are three types of Drago (plural: Dragae) in circulation, intended for speed with wind, speed against the wind and large hold space between them. Dragae are known to be unsafe, and their use is limited due to the superior Willae on the market, which are suspended from Helium balloons and are impervious to bursting, combustion or gradual deflation in open seas.

Player History:

drago began wurm as a novice invited by his friend from another game, zamuel. this was back before the highways were complete and the only way to get to the settlement his friends had began was to venture through the spider infested woods to the east coast. zamuel and thallin escorted him but in the end all 3 were chased across creation by the amass of creatures. after hitting the eastern coast the three swam over the clay sea bed and eventually they made there way to the settlement, at the time a simple homestead.
It was not long till he developed a keen interest in mining, terraforming and carpentry, and a bitter dislike of cooking and smithing to match. it did not take long till he became an established member, building the town farm and villa area used for charcoal piles.
he became good friends with the local neighbours aswell, often ending up there battered from venturing through the woods narrowly escaping spiders in the valleys to the western forest. elias would often patch him up and send him on his way with some cotton or supplies.

as the days went by he came closer to this beloved land, but alas....the dreaded 'real life' would play a treaturous tole. it was deemed that he should travel with his family, leaving behind the beautiful lands of wurm for all but a forenight, a small modest time...but all it took to shake the foundations of the village of northern haven.
Upon his return to the lands of wurm drago found himself alone, with not a sign of a soul's presence for many days.
what had become of his fellow villagers? he did not know...but at a loss to see his beloved village in decay, he paid the guards in his mayors stead and begain work on the restoration of the area.

days passed, without a word from his friends he began to look elsewhere for incouragement into his continued wurmian times. he became a frequent voice in the kingdom of jehnn kellon and endeavoured to take part in activities in his local area.
it was from this, that he first met what unbeknownst to him would be his best most singular encounter of his wurmian life.
it was a sunny day, as per usual...if you dont count the downpours of rain and pea soup that would limit his sight to mere meters.
a prominent figure in the kingdom had arranged a mass hunt to destroy the menacing goblins taking refuge on the eastern isles...
a common trip, and coincidentally it set off across the sea just down the coast from the village he had now become the proprioter of after a final visit from his friend zamuel, who was never to be seen again after.

so seeking to immerge himself in new encounters he set off to meet with the band of hunters, proudly wearing his hand crafted cottonwear and a longsword found in a strange pile mere meters from a drooling spider, ones loss tis anothers gain so they say.
and so the hunt began, crossing the calm waters to the eastern isles. as the group made there way in-land, picking off the straggling goblins which had not the sense to hide in the woods after see'ing such an array of men with swords in hand come to towards them.
the progress was swift and ruthless at first, that is to say untill people had begun to lose one another in the midst of the fighting.
the further you went into this dark and deadly woods, the faster goblins would ambush you from the brances above. but that was not what made people worry...

deep within the forest lay the venerable spiders, several meters in diametre they would tear a man limb from limb. and as there reputation deemed, they began to stalk those who had seperated from the group. no one understood the ramblings of the men in the distance as they fell to the fierce beasts till it was too late and they had been sent back to newtown stripped of their possessions but spared their lifes by the gods powers. At this point the fighters knew what awaited behind the hills and out of sight, this quick jossle to the mind to calm their nerves and they regrouped. it was decided to find the lost companions possessions and to lure the spider away from them using the cover of the water, a spiders folly.
and so the search began...drago had scowered the hills, and being one of the few who knew the terrain had located the lost goods down a steep hill. but this was not all, as he found yet another companion still alive from the spider or so he thought. in truth this hunter had beaten him to find the goods but had fallen through a vast thorn bush barely able to move. this paticular fellow was named metaldragon.

~~

drago was the former owner of Northern Haven but disbanded the village when he and the other villagers moved to wild to join kyara and commuted back and forth beetween the two servers up untill jk-h closed.
After they had decided the lifestyle of wild was not suited for them, they moved back to JK-H and joined Garden Of Destiny where several friends lived while they began their mountain village scheme. unfortunatly, JK-H was deemed to be closed and as such the project never came to fruition.

prior to the closure of jk-h he had places a memorial HS in place of northern haven to keep the area as his own little resort.

he is the first known player to of hatched a dragon egg in G2. the resulting hatchling was the last dragon on jk-h, delamore the black. which was subsidently killed prior to the servers deletion.

disclaimer

Who are Chat Moderators
A CM is a player that has taken on responsibilities in addition to playing the game. While there is no formal application process players that are being considered go under review by the GM's and if the consensus is positive the player may be offered the position if the server they play on could use more support. Players can express their interest in the position to GMs though most are recommended by current team members. The Head GM makes the final decision. Ideally CM's are experienced players that have no history of chat infractions or game violations.

What do CM's do?
CM's fill two important roles. What most people are aware of is that they moderate the kingdom chat channels and enforce the chat rules. Behind the scene CM's also take /dev calls to assist players when GM's are unavailable and resolve calls that can be fixed without GM intervention. They are also able to reach GM's across multiple servers if necessary.

The Chat Rules
If you do not follow the rules you can find yourself muted. If you receive an unofficial warning in one of the chat channels do not argue! If you strongly disagree send the cm a private message about it as starting an argument in kchat is likely to get you muted as well. Receiving an offical warning is also something you should take up in private with the cm in question, or if you feel uncomfortable with that, any other cm or gm. Warnings are on record, as are mutes, and it's not a good idea to collect these!

<center>This is a non-exhaustive list of reasons you may be muted:</center>
<div style="-moz-border-radius:10px; border:1px solid #ffffff; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: .5em 1em; background: #e8f1ff; -moz-outline-style: outset; -moz-outline-radius: 10px; -moz-outline-color: #0e0e0e; font-size: 100%; width:600px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto">
* Talk of/about illicit drug use, possession, or sale.
* Use of vulgar language.
* Discuss R rated themes, please keep chat PG, many players are very young.
* Any discriminatory remarks about someone's race, creed, sexuality, or lifestyle.
* If you say something that is offensive to a large group of people and are asked to shut up, please do.
* Discussion of macros.
* Spamming chat.
* Flaming.
* If you are excessively combative or argumentative when warned or asked to change the subject.
* Attempting to pose as someone working for the game. (e.g. CM, GM, DEV).
* Trolling.
* Argumentative or abusive behavior towards cm's/gm's about warnings - do this in private if you must!
</div>
<ins>Procedure(s) for mutes:</ins>
* You the player have said something from the list above.
* Moderator tells you that is unacceptable. (GMs can skip this step if they feel the need)
* You continue
* An official mute warning is given, this will appear in that scary orange color in your event window.
* You keep continuing
* Mute. Length of mute determined by moderator. (not to exceed 24 hours)
* Post a log of the incident where it can be reviewed by the GMs, both to determine proper action was taken, and that further action is not needed.

<ins>Things they may not do:</ins>
* Vendetta mutes. They don't like you, so they mute you.
* Mutes for things they find personally offensive.
* Casual muting (just for the hell of it)
* Mute a GM, or attempt to, or even think about it.
* Mute you because you PKd them and they are angry.
* Mute you because of something you said in local.
* Mute you permanently, I'd ask them to refer any cases where they feel an extended mute is needed to a GM.
* Mute you in a manner inconsistent with the procedure posted above.
* Abuse their position, or pose as a GM.

Note: mutes are limited in time and lifted by the server when the time elapsed or a moderator lifts the mute.

Upon his return to the lands of wurm drago found himself alone, with not a sign of a soul's presence for many days.
what had become of his fellow villagers? he did not know...but at a loss to see his beloved village in decay, he paid the guards in his mayors stead and begain work on the restoration of the area.

days passed, without a word from his friends he began to look elsewhere for incouragement into his continued wurmian times. he became a frequent voice in the kingdom of jehnn kellon and endeavoured to take part in activities in his local area.
it was from this, that he first met what unbeknownst to him would be his best most singular encounter of his wurmian life.
it was a sunny day, as per usual...if you dont count the downpours of rain and pea soup that would limit his sight to mere meters.
a prominent figure in the kingdom had arranged a mass hunt to destroy the menacing goblins taking refuge on the eastern isles...
a common trip, and coincidentally it set off across the sea just down the coast from the village he had now become the proprioter of after a final visit from his friend zamuel, who was never to be seen again after.

so seeking to immerge himself in new encounters he set off to meet with the band of hunters, proudly wearing his hand crafted cottonwear and a longsword found in a strange pile mere meters from a drooling spider, ones loss tis anothers gain so they say.
and so the hunt began, crossing the calm waters to the eastern isles. as the group made there way in-land, picking off the straggling goblins which had not the sense to hide in the woods after see'ing such an array of men with swords in hand come to towards them.
the progress was swift and ruthless at first, that is to say untill people had begun to lose one another in the midst of the fighting.
the further you went into this dark and deadly woods, the faster goblins would ambush you from the brances above. but that was not what made people worry...
and so the search began...drago had scowered the hills, and being one of the few who knew the terrain had located the lost goods down a steep hill. but this was not all, as he found yet another companion still alive from the spider or so he thought. in truth this hunter had beaten him to find the goods but had fallen through a vast thorn bush barely able to move. this paticular fellow was named metaldragon.

eerm, if anyone reads this. i got very bored and started this as a joke...but its getting kinda long so may aswell finish it ^^
lets call this: the tales of drago: chapter 1

drago began wurm as a novice invited by his friend from another game, zamuel. this was back before the highways were complete and the only way to get to the settlement his friends had began was to venture through the spider infested woods to the east coast. zamuel and thallin escorted him but in the end all 3 were chased across creation by the amass of creatures. after hitting the eastern coast the three swam over the clay sea bed and eventually they made there way to the settlement, at the time a simple homestead.

At this point the fighters knew what awaited behind the hills and out of sight, this quick jossle to the mind to calm their nerves and they regrouped. it was decided to find the lost companions possessions and to lure the spider away from them using the cover of the water, a spiders folly.
and so the search began...drago had scowered the hills, and being one of the few who knew the terrain had located the lost goods down a steep hill. but this was not all, as he found yet another companion still alive from the spider or so he thought. in truth this hunter had beaten him to find the goods but had fallen through a vast thorn bush barely able to move. this paticular fellow was named metaldragon.
it was from this, that he first met what unbeknownst to him would be his best most singular encounter of his wurmian life.
it was a sunny day, as per usual...if you dont count the downpours of rain and pea soup that would limit his sight to mere meters.
a prominent figure in the kingdom had arranged a mass hunt to destroy the menacing goblins taking refuge on the eastern isles...
a common trip, and coincidentally it set off across the sea just down the coast from the village he had now become the proprioter of after a final visit from his friend zamuel, who was never to be seen again after.

so seeking to immerge himself in new encounters he set off to meet with the band of hunters, proudly wearing his hand crafted cottonwear and a longsword found in a strange pile mere meters from a drooling spider, ones loss tis anothers gain so they say.
and so the hunt began, crossing the calm waters to the eastern isles. as the group made there way in-land, picking off the straggling goblins which had not the sense to hide in the woods after see'ing such an array of men with swords in hand come to towards them.
the progress was swift and ruthless at first, that is to say untill people had begone to lose one another in the midst of the fighting.
the further you went into this dark and deadly woods, the faster goblins would ambush you from the brances above. but that was not what made people worry...

deep within the forest lay the venerable spiders, several meters in diametre they would tear a man limb from limb. and as there reputation deemed, they began to stalk those who had seperated from the group. no one understood the ramblings of the men in the distance as they fell to the fierce beasts till it was too late and they had been sent back to newtown stripped of their possessions but spared their lifes by the gods powers. At this point the fighters knew what awaited behind the hills and out of sight, this quick jossle to the mind to calm their nerves and they regrouped. it was decided to find the lost companions possessions and to lure the spider away from them using the cover of the water, a spiders folly.
and so the search began...drago had scowered the hills, and being one of the few who knew the terrain had located the lost goods down a steep hill. but this was not all, as he found yet another companion still alive from the spider or so he thought. in truth this hunter had beaten him to find the goods but had fallen through a vast thorn bush barely able to move. he decided to help the wurmian, the wurmian named 'Metaldragon'.
