Road construction is very important in wurm, it lets you go places - fast. On a paved road you can reach speeds up to 17-18km/h compared to the 11km/h on grass and less then half of that on sand. That in combination with finding your way around (which many seems to have trouble with in wurm) makes it&lt;br /&gt;
pretty obvious that roads are a good thing to have.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
And they're so simple to create! Mine some rockshards by first activating your pickaxe then right click on a normal rocktile and select mine from the menu. Next you need to pack the tile you want to pave, do this by activating your shovel and right click on a dirt or grass tile and select pack. With this done you activate the rockshard and rightclick on the packed tile, select pave and voila - you have started a road!&lt;br /&gt;
