Description
...This is a very rare and interesting version of the item.

Rare items were introduced in an update, Thursday, 29 March 2012.

Players may occasionally succeed in creating rare, supreme or even fantastic items. These tools are faster, weapons do more damage, and armour protects a bit better. This may also happen as you improve or polish items and rare items may turn into even rarer items. Constructing new items using rare materials may turn the unfinished item into a rare item. Rare guard towers spawn more guards, for instance. More functionality will be added over time.

You get approximately 1 chance of 50% each hour to create a rare item.

Effects
*Rare tools go faster. For example, a 57.41 ql whetstone had a 12 second use while a rare 57.41 ql whetstone took 11.9 seconds.
*Rare weapons hit harder.
*Rare armor protects more.
*Locks are harder to pick
*Lockpicks break less and aid picking
*Containers (including boats) are harder to pick
*Arrows hit harder and miss less
*Bows hit harder and miss less
*All items get higher default price depending on rarity
*Ships sail faster (up to max so good only for fewer people)
*Carts move faster
*Yo-yos and Dolls succeed more
*Fishing poles dmg less and have better odds at rare fish
*General tools are faster
*Fires heat up faster and stay lit longer.
*Altars get bonus to normal affects and alignment during prayers and sermons
*Food gives more nutrition
*Drinks are more potent
*Gems store more favor
*War machines do more damage
*Healing items has better effect
*Signs have a few more letters
*Horse shoes improve speed
*Butchering knives increase meat yield and item ql
*Sacrificing rares gives 99% nutrition, water and food
*Rare grooming brushes take 12.5% less damage
*Rare rock shards can create whetstones with slightly higher QL than the shard
*A rare toolbelt has 1 more slot than the equivalent normal toolbelt

Notes
*Rare items, graphically appear the same as regular items, however, they will have the "rare" prefix.
*Sometimes rare items create their own categories in inventory lists. For example, if you have 5 longswords in a pile, and 2 are rare, you would see longsword (3x) and rare long sword (2x). Other times, items like sprouts for example, will all appear under the regular sprouts category. This has been said to be true for logs as well.
*Rare items can be combined into larger weights, for items that can normally combined (make sure the active item is at the top of the list), but this seems to usually cause the rare status to disappear.
*Throwing rare materials into a bulk storage bin will cause the items to lose their rare status.
*Rare ore has been seen to make rare lumps.
*All types of item can become 'rare', but not all of them have advantages coded for them.
Smelly food, edible only by pigs.

Pig food is the byproduct from failing dye. It is used for cooking and for feeding pigs.
It is also edible by the player, but it will almost never fill up the hunger bar, nor raise nutrition.

Pig food can be used as an ingredient in stew, casserole and meal as a spice, provided it is searing hot. If other ingredients reach searing hot before the pig food does, it will not be cooked.

Notes
Pig food is no longer the by product of failing to produce juice <s>or olive oil</s>. This change occurred in one of the April 2012 updates.
There is no confirmation that failure to make dye produces pig food at this point.
Wurm Online was originally created by Rolf Janssen (Rolf) and Markus Persson (Notch). Up until 2007 Notch and Rolf continued to work together on the game; developing the client and server sides respectively. In 2007 Notch retired, but Rolf continued working on the game and created the Client Development Team to continue improving the client.

What do Devs do?
Developers are responsible for a vast array of things from fixing bugs to creating graphics, maintaining the website, managing sysadmin and much more. They directly affect the game by making changes to code, adding content, and altering how things work. While Rolf remains the sole Server Developer, he has expanded the client team with volunteers. Until early 2011 Rolf was the only employee of OneTooFree AB, but recently he has employed two additional developers, Haradur and Wox. On October 12, 2011, OneTwoFree AB was renamed Code Club AB (www.codeclub.se).

Main / Guides / PAGENAME

Flattening is the digging process of making a tile flat. A tile is considered flat when all four corners of the tile are of the same height, which can be seen by examining tile borders. If all 4 borders around a tile are reported as "level", the tile is flat.

How to flatten a tile
You can go about flattening a tile using 2 methods: manual and automatic. While "automatic" sounds nice, it's actually quite a bit more complicated to get right than doing it manually until you get the hang of it.

The automatic way
The automatic way is to use the Flatten command by right-clicking on a tile with your shovel activated. If the tile is too steep to stand on, you can still use flatten successfully from an adjacent tile.

Note: You cannot flatten a corner which is shared with a tree tile (or other immovable object). If it says "some corner can't be raised" then this is why.

In a nutshell, the flatten command takes dirt from high corners and and puts them on lower ones than the calculated average from the server zero-plane. The zero-plane is the lowest point possible in wurm, where digging further would result in you falling through the world. This plane is absolutely flat, and all dirt and rock heights are calculated from this plane by means of simple addition. This sounds a bit abstract, I know, but read on and all will be explained.

An example
Imagine that you are on the continent of flatland on flatten flats. This imaginary land has no slopes whatsoever, anywhere, and no water. You are standing in the middle of one tile in this land with a cart containing 40 dirts.You walk over to one of the 4 corners on that tile and drops 10 dirt on it from the cart. It now has a height of 10 dirt. Next, you repeat the procedure on the other 3 corners and suddenly you have a tile that is elevated 10 dirts above the rest of flatland. The height of each corner is 10.

*Corner 1: 10
*Corner 2: 10
*Corner 3: 10
*Corner 4: 10

Ok, now imagine that you decide to mess things up by digging up 5 dirt from one of the corners and put them on one of the 3 others. This could result in...

*Corner 1: 5
*Corner 2: 10
*Corner 3: 15
*Corner 4: 10

But you realize that doing this was retarded, and want the tile flat again. You could just dig up the extra 5 dirt from corner 3 again and drop them on corner 1 and it would be taken care of, but instead of that you position yourself on the tile and select "flatten".

How it works
What the game now does is calculate the height of your tile's corners based off the absolute zero plane of the game, in the example above the zero plane is the continent of flatland, so... 5+10+15+10=40. Divide that by 4 corners and you get, surprise, 10! So, the game now knows that the target height for the 4 corners is 10 dirts each, and begins to gradually take dirt from those corners above the target height and put it on the corners below it. It will continue to do this until one of the following conditions are met upon which it will stop:

* The tile is flat
* The tile corners have run out of dirt to make it completely flat (this will happen if the calculated average corner height isn't divisable by 4). Add extra dirt or dig away the surplus, then try again.
* It tries to alter a corner which is connected to a tile with an obstruction on it. The most common are tree, clay, marsh and moss.
* It tries to alter a corner which is obstructed by a wall of any type.
* It tries to alter a corner which would create a slope that is steeper than your digging skill * 3.
* It hits rock in a corner

In the instance of case 2 above, there is dirt either missing or too much of it to make the tile completely flat. As stated, if the sum of the heights of the corners is a multiple of four, then the tile can be flattened. Otherwise, there are 1-3 dirt extra that prevent it from being completely even. The different results are listed below:

* If there is 1 extra dirt, you attempt to assemble.
* If there are 2 extra dirt:
** If the dirts are on the same corner (0-0-0-2), you attempt to assemble once.
*** In this case, the tile is not flattened completely. You must flatten again to finish.
** Otherwise, if you have at least one dirt in your inventory, you attempt to fill twice.
** Otherwise, you attempt to assemble twice.
* If there are 3 extra dirts, you attempt to fill.

Assemble means you attempt to dig one dirt on a high corner. If you can carry an additional dirt, the message "You assemble some dirt from a corner." is displayed and you gain one dirt. Otherwise, the message "If you could carry one more dirt pile, one more corner could be levelled" is displayed.

Fill means you attempt drop one dirt on a low corner. If you have a dirt to drop, the message "You use some of the dirt in one corner." is displayed and you lose one dirt. Otherwise, the message "If you carried some dirt, it would be used to fill the 1 corners that need it" is displayed.

If the flattening action successfully flattened the tile completely, the message "The ground is flat here." will be displayed. If this message is not displayed, you either failed to perform an assemble or fill, or it was a 0-0-0-2 spread.

Flattening time
The action time is based on the height difference in "dirts" between the highest and lowest corners of the tile. The time is 9 seconds plus an additional 10 seconds for every 4 dirts difference. Examples:

* 0 = "The ground is flat now."
* 1..3 = 9 secs
* 4..7 = 19 secs
* 8..11 = 29 secs
* 12..15 = 39 secs
* 16..19 = 49 secs
* etc

Examples of tiles that would give 9 seconds flattening time (the number below is the height difference):

<pre>
0---1 or 0---3 or 0---0
|   |    |   |    |   |
1---2    3---3    0---3
(2)      (3)      (3)
</pre>

Manual flattening
Manual flattening is the act of making an area flat through manually digging and dropping dirt. While the process requires more interaction by the digger, it is vastly superior when flattening large areas of land.

How to do it
# Pick a single corner as your reference (you could place a small barrel or another container on it so you know the reference corner if you wish).
# Stand on this corner and right-click on a tile border linking to another corner you wish to adjust.
# If the message reads "the slope is <number of dirts> steep towards you, the other corner is higher than your reference corner, and you'll need to walk over to it and dig it down by the specified amount.
# If the message reads "the slope is <number of dirts> steep away from you, the other corner is lower than your reference corner and needs to be filled up.
# Once the tile border reports "level", walk over to the corner you've adjusted and use it as your new reference corner. Since the level between it and your old reference corner is level, they're at the same height. Now look for a new slope to adjust and repeat the procedure as before.

Summary
Understand that the world is made up of pillars, and that the tiles are merely thin textures stretched out from the pillar's highest points. When you dig or drop dirt, all you do is adjust the height of the pillar (ie, a corner) you are standing nearest. When digging, all that matters are the corners. Tiles only matter when you use the "flatten" command, in which case the selected tile only decides which 4 corners (or pillars) should be compared to eachother and adjusted. Otherwise, forget about the tiles, only think about the corners. Also, never forget that when digging and dropping dirt, it doesn't matter where you click, only where your feet are located.

Using a combination of manual and automatic flattening is usually the best idea once you've gotten the hang of how the system works, but until you do you may find it easier to rely on manual flattening.

The limitations of manual flattening is, of course, that it may take more time and interaction to complete, and also is subject to dirt flow. Dirt flow is what happens when you try to drop dirt on a corner with a slope diagonally that exceeds 40 in steepness (For example: You're dropping dirt northeast, then slopes N+W or E+S shouldn't be higher then 40 together). When using the "flatten" command, dirt flow does not apply and you can use it to create extreme slopes by the use of a technique known as flatraising

Tips
When flattening stand on the lowest corner. Standing on the higher ones might get you some fall damage and that stops the flattening timer to prevent you dying from it.
The Unified Republic of Roadside (URRS) was a size 10 village located near the peat field close to the Old Roadside, it was founded in response to the changes which enabled the home servers to be raidable. Pentaxpilot and Ayesha believed that the village would have to move to protect itself from the possible attack that could occur.

The village did not last more than two months, being founded on the 27/04/09 and disbanded on the 18/06/09, as the members of the village were moving to the new freedom server.

Main / Skills / Cooking / Beverages / Grapes / PAGENAME

General Information
The PAGENAME is a test conducted by Cranialwizard consist of the question of whether or not a player may take a sprout from a blue grape bush in the southern hemisphere and plant it in the northern to grow blue grapes, or the opposite, taking a green grape sprout and planting it in the southern hemisphere to grow green grapes in a naturally blue-grape area. This is the general information that the Wurm public and the wiki has released:

"Blue grapes are harvested from grape bushes in the southern half of a map. They are used in creating blue grapes juice for making red wine."

Likewise:

"Green grapes are harvested from grape bushes in the northern half of a map. They are used in creating green grapes juice for making white wine."

Location and Time Started
Cranialwizard's vineyards are located in the Northern Hemisphere in Golden Valley, just to the slight Northeast of New Dawn. For relative pinpoint, the vineyard is just east of Zephyr's Villa, along a road near the Portals to Premium servers.

No exact date was recorded as of when the test was started, but it was the Wurm year of 1007, at the end of the grape season, sadly, so the test must run until the Wurm year of 1008 during Raven's starfall. An approximate estimate of when the bushes were planted would be July 22nd, 2010.

Test Setup
In one closed area of the vineyard, 5 grape sprouts from the south end of the map were tested, and 5 grape sprouts from the northern end on the other side of the fence. The rest of the vineyard was planted with sprouts with no real designation, so these sprouts are presumed to give off green grapes.

These Grape bushes are constantly being pruned and picked for sprouts, and will not reach the old and shriveled age because of the constant care. Every 6 hours of real life, they are checked upon to remove sprouts and to prune them back to very old stage.

Results
As of far, Grapes are not in season, so this test is still underway, and no results have been yielded.

Madt's guide to speed cooking
This guide basically is a way to make meals really fast.

* Light the oven/forge and throw in the veggies (corn, potato, onion)
* Throw in the meat and grab 10 frying pans.
* Wait for the ingredients to get to glowing with heat.
* Drag 1 meat and 1 veg to each pan while the pans are in your inventory.
* Once you have placed 1 meat and 1 veg in each pan, drop the pans into the forge/oven.
* You will have 10 instant meals, one in each pan.
* Repeat process until either you're out of ingredients or until you get bored.

Christian's good guide to speed cooking
This guide is another easy way to fast speed cooking. WARNING: Can be rough on players' wrists

* Light the forge or oven.
* Put all meat and veggies in backpacks or not.
* Have at least a few pans (5 always worked for me).
* Put one small nail in each pan this allows the pans to stay open as you cook the meals.
* Once the meat and veggies are glowing take from the backpack/forge/oven and put one of each in each pan.
* It will then make a meal in each pan.
* Then add another veggie and meat and then remove the original meal from the pan and it will make another meal.

Tips: Once you reach 40 Hot food cooking you should add pig food to each meal for best skill gain. It basically increases the difficulty of the meal for most skill gain at higher cooking skill levels. The pig food must be glowing in order to be used in the meal.

Jayz's speed cooking guide
* Light the oven.
* Put meat and vegetables in the oven.
* Wait until they are glowing from heat.
* Grab a few frying pans.
* Take 1 meat and 1 veggie and put both in a frying pan in your inventory.
* Put the pan back into the oven.
* Enjoy your instant meal
* Place 7x frying pan, 7x sauce pan, and all the meat you have inside of a backpack inside the forge.
* Filet 2x 1.20 kg cooked meat and 2x 0.90 kg cooked meat resulting 14x 0.30 kg Filet of cooked meat.
* Add 0.001 kg water and 1x Filet of cooked meat in each sauce pan.
* Add 1x cooked meat and 1x Filet of cooked meat in each frying pan.
* Collect the resulting stew and gulasch for use in Animal taming.
* Rinse and repeat.

The idea is to use your hunting kills or the butchered remains of other people's kills carelessly left on the road for your own hot food cooking skill gain. This method works well when doing smithing or mining because only the Filet action uses the action timer. It is recommended to store quantities of food in backpacks so as to avoid inadvertent cooking. Use of a Stone forge instead of a Stone oven makes the result more difficult, resulting in increased skill gain. This method is an effective way to gain hot food cooking skill at any level. This method also will work with fish and their associated Filets, or in quantities other than what is described above. The mechanism by which this works is that using two separate meat types makes the dish cook faster. For example, a whole cooked meat and a Filet of cooked meat will turn into stew much more quickly than just using 2x Filet of cooked meat.
Once branded, examining the animal shows the village it belongs to and allows members of that village to lead it, no matter where it is.

Usage
* Heat the branding iron to searing or glowing hot.
* Make sure you and the animal are within the deed you are a member of.
* Activate the branding iron, right-click the animal, and select Brand.
* After use, the branding iron appears to lose 0.10Quality instead of taking actual damage.

Messages given when branding:
: You prepare to brand [animal, e.g. Young fat horse].
: Determined, you raise your branding iron.
: The [animal] makes a [horrible / pleasant] sound as you press your branding iron against it.

When examining the animal after branding, it will say: "It has been been branded by and belongs to the settlement of [Settlement]."

Once branded, members of that village can lead the animal, no matter where it is.

Volume is a measure of how much space an item takes up. In Wurm the word 'volume' typically refers to numbers for capacity of containers, rather than taking up visual space or effecting movement.

In Wurm, volume is measured in liters (L), and used mostly to measure liquids and bulk storage. This is different from weight, which players become familiar with first, since the player inventory is based on weight.

Many containers accept liquids, and some accept solids or liquids. Those that accept liquids have their capacity measured by volume, including solid items placed inside. This can be deceptive, however, since the number displayed is still the weight and not the volume. Only in bulk bins does the "weight" column in the container window actually mean "volume".

For example: A small bucket can hold 12L of water, and those 12L weight 12kg in a player's inventory. If a solid items are placed in the bucket instead, and those items have different weight and volume per unit, the bucket may contain more or less than 12kg in a player's inventory when full. This difference is due to density.

Density
This is an advanced topic and not of great use to new players

Some items weigh more per volume than others. Density (weight per volume, kg/L) is useful for measuring how well items store in volumetric containers, especially bulk storage bins and food storage bins. Higher density means that for each kilogram, less capacity is consumed in the bulk bin.

For example: planks are more than twice as dense as logs, and woodscraps far more than that, so sawing a bulk bin full of logs will result in a bulk bin half-full of planks and woodscraps, even though the total weight remains the same.
Intro
<font style="font-size: 8pt;">Day of Awakening, week 2 of the Raven's starfall, 986</font>

Yesterday night, when I looked up in the sky, I started wondering about the Wurm universe.<br>
I wondered if I could find the rotation center of the sky and Martin got caught by the same kind of thoughts.<br>
The situation developed and we decided to find out some clear facts about this virtual universe and the planet of Wurm.<br>
<br>
I started taking pictures, clipping them together to get some trails on the stars. Martin and I made some calculations and discussed the results.<br>

Back to Astronomy and geography
----
Rotation center of the sky
Finding the rotation center was quite simple.<br>
First, a look directly up in the sky, facing magnetic north. This picture was taken by clipping many pictures into one:<br>
http://www.helges.dk/wurm/pics/050529_-_around0000_-_N_straightup_-_stars_going_towards_south.png<br>
By looking at the picture we surprisingly concluded that the visible rotation center was somewhere near the western horizon, and not north or south as on earth.<br>
<br>
Then, a look straight west, a little above the horizon:<br>
http://www.helges.dk/wurm/pics/050529_-_around0200-0300_-_W_-_stars_going_counter_clockwise_-_01.png<br>
This picture clearly shows that the rotation center is directly towards magnetic west.<br>
<br>

Conclusions:<br>
* Wurm's geographic north (rotation center) is towards Wurm's magnetic west.
* Sun rises in magnetic north (geo. east), travels around magnetic east (geo. south) and sets in magnetic south (geo. west).
* Sky rotates counter-clockwise around the visible rotation center.
* We're located on the geographicaly north hemisphere of the Wurm planet (magneticaly west).

Some thoughts:<br>
The Wurm planet must be in the middle of a pole switch, which explains why the magnetic poles are messed up compared to the geographic poles.<br>
This has happened several times in earth's history with regular intervals. On earth, this can be seen in the magnetic patterns in the minerals on the bottom of the oceans.<br>
Pole switches are when North becomes south and south becomes north.<br>
The pole switch theory also explains very well why the birds seem to have trouble navigating. Pole switching normally makes the magnetic field of a planet very unstable, and both Martin and I wonder why the dangerous radiation from the sun doesn't hurt us.<br>

Back to Astronomy and geography
----

Latitude and current axis pitch
Next we wanted to find out was our latitude and the current axis pitch of the Wurm planet.<br>
This required quite some calculations, and the results may not be very accurate because they were based on some estimations of a tree height.<br>
<br>
First thing to find out was the angle per pixel scale, and for that we used simple trigonometry.
Notch has once said that a tree in Wurm is approximately 12m high. Reading the distance to the nearest tree was no problem - it's just a matter of counting tiles and using pythagoras.<br>
http://www.helges.dk/wurm/pics/050529_-_W_horizontal.png<br>
Then we had to find the exact rotation center and distance to the horizon in pixels (to calculate the angle). To find the horizon we simply used the same distance in pixels from a top of a distant mountain as on the photo above (photo aboce was taken looking directly west with eyes aligned on the horizon).<br>
http://www.helges.dk/wurm/pics/050529_-_around0200-0300_-_W_-_stars_going_counter_clockwise_-_02.png<br>
Finding the axis pitch was quite easy after we found the latitude. We just looked straight up and took a picture when the time was 12:00, calculated the angle to the sun.<br>

Back to Astronomy and geography
----

Results
* Latitude (angle of rotation center): 17°
http://www.helges.dk/wurm/pics/latitude001.png
* Maximum solar altitude: 72°, west horizon (18° from being vertical).
* Axis pitch: 35°
http://www.helges.dk/wurm/pics/axis_pitch001.png

Back to Astronomy and geography
----

Final comment
Wurm is a very strange and interresting planet. Even though it's in the middle of a pole switch and the current axis pitch is around 35° (which would be absolutely fatal for the life on planet earth), it is full of life and very habitable.

Current Village
The current village was rapidly expanding, with about 15 houses and a few public structures. Currently most is decayed, but the situation (on an ideal peninsula) and the surroundings still provides a beautiful sight.

Location
The Facepunch village is located directly north of Northern Light and west of Lion's Head.
History
Wave One
Facepunch initially became involved in Wurm when a member by the name of Raloc posted a thread on the forum asking players to come and play. The thread was a success, and many people came to play. However, many of the people in the village couldn't decide where to set up camp. This happened about 6 months ago.

Wave Two
Recently, another thread was posted on Facepunch, and has attracted many more people to Wurm. However, this time, many of the people that came to Wurm in the first wave were now experienced, and knew what to do. The first expedition to find the new lands set out under the lead of ElijahT and consisted of him, Joudoki, and Somebody.

Later, Pvtryan, DeMong, Electrocuter, and Monkeyfun caught up with the first wave, and the two groups traveled together under the lead of Pvtryan to the promised lands. The spot that was chosen was inhabited by a few Facepunchers before, including Pvtryan, Andrew, Jeff, and Demong. It was soon abandoned.

Misconceptions and Generalizations of Facepunchers
*Facepunch Members are thieves.
This is not true; A few people from the facepunch community, who do not know the rules of the game and the community, have committed some crimes that have shed a negative light on facepunch.

Known Criminals
*Dead - Stole items from Northern Light
*Heyimfrank - Stole items from Lion's Hand
Lion's Head- "Do unto others, before they do unto you"
Lion's Head is a size ten village located along the coast south from Rockcliff, along the northern highway, at the very base of Gold Mountain. The area is rich in resources, being near Iron, Gold, copper, flint, clay, tar, and lots of Wood of all kinds. Bears, wolves, mountain lions, wild boars, dogs, crocodiles and spiders are found frequently in the area.

The city itself strives to be picturesque, and offers a majestic view of Gold Mountain.

It is home to some of the more skilled and well known craftspeople on home server.

History
Lion's Head began as a thread on the Lionhead Studios forums. The first settlement was located a short ways north of Newtown, near the homesteads of Ruidean and Lake View. The plan was to found a deeded village, which was impossible in that location. Therefore, after much discussion, a new location was decided on in the resource rich coast at the base of Gold Mountain (sometimes called Twin Peaks Mountain).

The brave pioneers loaded all their belongings upon several rafts, and began the long journey to the North, watching for bears with great vigilance. The journey lasted several days, everyone moving slowly with their rafts and other burdens. Some things were lost, including the entire set of blacksmith's equipment. Several players were injured upon coming ashore, and one was killed due to the heavy concentration of wildlife in the area.

Finally, the new location was picked, and the settlement quickly founded in the ruins of an older settlement. They were soon to discover that this settlement was not quite abandoned, however. The sole survivor of the previous town, Stingard, was still holding the fort. Rara was his name, and he was not exactly pleased to see a bunch of newbies building a town in his front yard. However, what began as an unfortunate misunderstanding soon became a great boon of fortune, as Rara became one of the town's most valued members, bringing with him great experience and skill to guide the village in its infancy.

Since then, Lion's Head has grown into a significant trade center. Its merchants have on offer all manner of goods, some of them extraordinarily rare and valuable.
Oh god, get in the water!

Information
Founded Februrary 11th, 2007 at 9:02 AM.
A size 5 deed located a swim Northeast of Rockcliff, nestled on a cosy beach facing North to the ocean. The village does have plans to expand it's deed once enough funds are raised to do so. Midway sprang up fairly quickly as a village, and already has a fair amount of housing on the beachfront and into the forest behind.

The beachfront is commonly referred to as Midway Beach, while Midway is the village as a whole, extending out to Joudoki's homestead outpost and Upper Midway.

Midway is currently on neutral terms with all towns and all players.

History
Midway was originally intended as a rest stop for those evacuating from the abandoned Facepunch settlement of Minge's Tirith. One would stop 'midway' on their way East to one of the new islands, fill up on food and drink, get directions, and then be on their way. However, things on the island did not go well for the settlers. There were feuds internally and externally, stolen items, trees that were cut down, animals slain mindlessly, and basically a large amount of griefing all around. Eventually, the new island was abandoned.

The people, broken and scattered, now went their seperate ways. Midway was only one area that players went to for new refuge, now, weeks later, built up with a few houses and a working iron mine.

Citizens
Here is a list of citizens at Midway.

* Mayor Demong
* Treberif
* (Being in the "Peasantry" isn't a put-down, it's just for anyone who lives in Midway, or any citizen's alternate account in Midway, but is not a citizen due to the deed's limit.)
