A fine soft sheet.

A cotton sheet is made of square piece of cloth. Sheets are used when creating beds and wagons.

Notes
* The quality of the needle affects the success chance when creating.
* The weight of the square piece of cloth is reduced by 10% on failure.
* Sheets can be very hard to make with low skill. It is recommended to grind cloth tailoring on something easier before attempting to make a sheet.
* With no failures, a sheet will require 1.5 kg square piece of cloth = 1.5 kg string of cloth = 3 kg cotton. But assuming only 50% success at each phase for a new tailor, it will require 3 kg square piece of cloth = 6 kg string of cloth = 24 kg cotton.
Useful capacity quantities
The capacity of a wagon can be adjusted by stacking other containers, such as large crates, inside. Up to 9 large crates or 16 small crates can be loaded on a wagon.
Raft || 21 || 0
(9 crates takes 15552 (1728 * 9) which leaves 448 volume remaining.)

* A Wagon holds 16000 units of Volume.

Notes
*A wagon cannot carry passengers, only one driver.
*At least 40 fine carpentry is required to create as well as to continue building a wagon.
*Wagons can hold 16 small crates or 9 large crates.
*Bisons have a speed bonus when dragging wagons making them faster than horses when hitched to a wagon.
*Can be secured with a small or large padlock.
*21 mind logic is needed to command it
*23 Body Strength is needed to use the load cargo function
*Plank quality effects creation chance. The QL of additional components plays a major role in the attach chance, especially at lower fine carpentry skill levels.
*At 50 fine carpentry skill, with a 25.97ql plank, the creation chance was 9%. At 50 fine carpentry skill, with a 45.56ql plank, the creation chance was 19%.
*At 40 fine carpentry skill, with a 20.76ql plank, the creation chance was 0%. With a 31.20ql or 32.84ql plank and the same skill level, the creation chance was 8%. With a 46.82ql plank, the creation chance was 13%.
*Can't be dragged (needs animals hitched to it to drive).
*Requires at least 2 animals hitched to move.
*Wagons created in the various kingdoms will display the colors specific to each kingdom similar to Kingdom_banners.
*Can be loaded into all ships larger than Small sailing boat with the exception of a Cog.
*Requires the equivalent of approximately 39 large crates of space to be loaded.
"The message you can get as soon as you accept the path of insanity, no matter how far along you are in it. I have recently noticed that while you get the message, 'You feel strange and out of time.', everybody else sees your character do fun things such as staring at their hand or foaming at the mouth. Going down the path of insanity does indeed make your character act insane too, along with hallucinations. I am willing to post chat logs of Kaia's emotes if requested for evidence." * Camtire 19:45, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
}}
Disintegrate is a spell used underground to destroy rock tiles and reinforced tiles (with extensive effort). Metal veins have not been tested extensively. The spell is available for Magranon on PvE based servers (Freedom, save the Chaos server), and all priests on PvP.

Its use is tied into the Mining role for deeds. This means, on freedom server only those that have mining permission can disintegrate inside deed, anyone can disintegrate out of deed. On pvp server, you can now only disintegrate reinforced tiles inside enemy settlements if they were drained during the last 2 hours.

Usage
A cast will result in the same floor slope a Mine forward action would have resulted in. The general rule of Disintegrate is, if it can't be mined, it can't be Disintegrated. It will cast, but normal mining action will happen.

*If side shafts are attempted, it will not crack the rock tile and will only waste favor.
*If its too deep under water to mine it will not crack the rock tile and will only waste favor.
*Can be used to create an exit from a mine (follows same rules as manually mining), but cannot be used to create a tunnel from the outside.
**Mining or disintegrate from inside a mine will not result in the 20 entrance slope, it instead connects to the 2 lowest tile corners.
**Any item, corpse, player, mine door or altar in the way will result in 'Item in the way' error.

When used to disintegrate reinforced tiles, the chances are very low – 2% for a [50] power cast and 10% if you manage to cast a [90] power spell, which is hard enough for a difficulty 70 spell. This goes up to 25% at [95] power and 50% at [98]. Because of the long casting time, high favor cost, and difficulty to cast, disintegrating a tile with a single priest can very difficult.

Note on messages: When attempting to disintegrate a reinforced wall, a success of the spell does not mean you got the power and % roll. The messages see are:

*Spell success, but failed on removal "[17:54:56] You succeed." "[17:54:56] You fail to find a weak spot to direct the power to. The wall still stands this time."
*Spell success, got the power and % roll "[17:54:56] You succeed." "[17:54:56] You disintegrate the reinforcement."
However, it CAN be pushed, pulled and rotated.

As of 1.2 Floor Looms can be loaded into a wagon (but not a large cart) for transport.

Creating
On failure the small nails and plank are damaged. The quality of the nails affect the success chance.

Using
With strings of cloth, the floor loom is used to create:

:* square piece of cloth
:* meditation rug
:* fine meditation rug
:* beautiful meditation rug
:* exquisite meditation rug
:* small colorful carpet
:* colorful carpet
:* large colorful carpet

Notes
* Loading requires a wagon.

Trivia
The partially made rug that is part of the loom graphics, shares the same graphics as the fine meditation rug.

Description
Animal husbandry allows for the production (breeding) of new creatures, sometimes with increased quality, without the need to wait for new spawns.

Characteristics gained
Soul / Soul depth

Grooming
Grooming is the main activity which gives animal husbandry skill.

*Activate a Grooming brush and select groom while right-clicking on a groomable creature. This can be done to each animal once per hour.

Shearing
Shearing is another activity which gives animal husbandry skill.

*Activate a Scissors and select shear while right-clicking on a sheep.

* Wool bundles drop to ground not inventory. Sheared wool weight seems to vary depending on age: Young 0.1kg, Adolescent 0.2kg, Mature 0.3kg, Aged 0.4kg, Old 0.5kg, Venerable 0.6kg.

Breeding
* Lead one animal with a rope (or any item should it be wearing a bridle) and approach the second.
* When they are close enough together right click on the second animal and select the "Breed" option.

Notes
*Neither animal should be hungry.
*Neither animal should be of same gender.
*Both animals should be of the same species.
*Some animals require taming before being led, this does not apply to the second animal.
<!-- *Males will only breed once every 45 real minutes regardless of outcome. -- commented this for now as there could have been a silent change or bug -->
*Females will not breed while they are pregnant. Once the female gives birth, she will not be in mood for breeding for 24 real hours.
*Animals do not have to be "fat" to breed, only "no longer interested in food" (when trying to feed them). Grass eaters will typically be in this state after a minute or 2 on grass or crops.
*Age is a factor in breeding: calves or foals will not breed, neither will young/early adolescent animals.
*Pregnancy times varies from 5-11 wurm weeks, regardless of species.
*Examining the animal will show the remaining wurm weeks left until birth. eg. She will deliver in about 4
*Animals can have miscarriages which may kill the mother with no offspring spawned. Starving, off-deed, or on-deed below 15 ratio are known as the reasons for miscarriages.
*If too hungry or low on fat animals can die when giving birth.
*Breeding female animals with conditions such as Champion will provide a chance that the offspring will also have that characteristic. This chance is dramatically increased when breeding two animals with the same condition together. (Two Champions for example.)
*Breeding two animals with the same trait greatly increases the chance that the offspring will have the trait.
*The horse name is determined at birth, the traits are determined at breeding.
*The horse's color from birth is determined based on 1/3 by the mother, 1/3 by the father, and 1/3 by random.

Messages
; animal shys away and interrupts the action : breeding has failed, the male will not breed again for some time.
; animal is not in the mood : the male will not breed again for some time.
<!-- Changed the 45 minute suggestion due to this thread: http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/112669-not-in-mood-cooldown-ah/ --- Need more information. -->

Traits
Bred animals have a chance of gaining traits, enhancements or deformities. Animals may have multiple traits, those can be seen in the table below. All traits are put into the gene pool when breeding and those of the parents will increase the chance of the offspring having the same. Should both parents have the same trait the likelihood of the offspring gaining that trait is even higher. Inbreeding adds a chance that bad traits will appear.

The breeder's Animal husbandry affects the minimum and maximum number of traits that will appear in a horse. The maximum number of traits you can breed into one animal is currently 8 at 80+ skill.

Animal husbandry is only partially on the Curve. The curved value (effective skill) allows you see traits at that level (not true for bred in captivity trait which requires 60 numerical to see even on epic). But the actual value (numerical) is used for computing the number of traits you can breed.

Examining an animal will show traits if one has the required skill level.

Inbreeding
Inbreeding occurs when an offspring is bred with either of its parents. It's typically unavoidable in small herds but after 3 generations the requirement to inbreed will be removed; it's advised to seek neighbours to begin a herd if one wishes to avoid inbreeding. There is a chance to add extra negative traits to animals bred with their parents, which won't count towards the regular trait limit. Some players have observed that deceased parents will not count towards the inbreeding check at the time of birth.

"I have often used it as a method of breeding, to kill the old parents when I had too many horses that had a parent in common. After the parents are dead, you can breed and get normal horses. Leave the parents alive and you get lots of bad traited animals." Source
Caring
To prolong venerable animals from dying of old age they may be cared for. To care for an animal stand next to it and right click, select Care for. If you start caring for that animal this message will appear:

;You now care specially for Aged fat Tearbabe, to ensure longevity. You may care for x more creatures.

Notes
* Hostile creatures must be tamed first before they can be cared for.
* The total number of animals which may be cared for is limited by the animal husbandry skill of the player. If the player is unable to care for more animals this message will appear:
;You may not care for any more creatures right now. You are already caring for 1 creatures.
*1 animal may be cared for plus 1 additional for every 10 skill in animal husbandry. So at 40 Animal husbandry skill a player can care for 5 animals.
*Non-premium players can only care for 1 animal.
*The chat command /stopcaring will stop the player from caring for all animals. This message will appear:
;You no longer care for the one creature you used to.
*To stop caring for a specific animal right click the animal and select 'care for'.
*A list of all the animals cared for may be listed by using the command /caringfor

Description
A small four wheel catapult designed to be dragged by one person or animal. It could be used to hurl items at walls and fences.

Creation
Overall materials required
A list of all base materials required to create a PAGENAME.
* 7 logs
* 6 shafts
* 5 ropes
* 6 planks

Usage
A catapult's primary use is the destruction of walls and gates. You can hit another person with it, but it's very difficult.

To use a catapult, you must first load it with ammunition. Almost everything can be fired, but rock shards and ores do the most damage. Quality and damage of the ammunition will affect the amount of damage done to your target. To load a catapult, activate an item in your inventory, right-click the catapult, and select Machine -> Load.

After you load the catapult, it must be winched. With every winch the catapult shoots 1 tile further. The minimum distance a catapult can shoot is 10 tiles, the maximum distance is 50 tiles. To winch a catapult, right-click the catapult after it has been loaded, and select winch. This distance is calculated including both the tiles that the catapult and the target are standing on.

To aim the catapult, simply drag it so that it points to the target.

After it has been winched at least 10 laps, you can fire the catapult. Right-click the catapult, select Machine and then select 'Fire'. If it was properly aimed and winched, you will either get a message in event window that you just missed the target, or that you've hit it. If it only says that you've hit nothing, your aim is off.

Catapults' trajectory is affected by elevation. Firing uphill requires more winching to hit the target, whereas firing downhill requires less winching.

Ammunition
width=100 | Item
Notes
Rock Shards || Combined rock shards will do more damage
Stone Brick || Less damage then rock shards
Ore || Frequently used during raids, as it can't be used by the enemy to repair walls and it's near worthless after shot.
Corpse || Deal moderate damage and can be useful when other ammo types are unavailable.

Notes
* The skill used when operating a catapult is Catapults.
* Needs 21.0 body strength to use.
* Can be dragged.
* Although the description implies it can be dragged by an animal, it cannot.
* Cannot be fired inside caves.
* Any item launched with the catapult will be either heavily damaged or destroyed. Any item that is not destroyed will be at the target tile.
* Catapults can fire over buildings and walls.
* Catapults cannot hit guard towers.
* Catapults cannot damage mine doors.
* You can do a maximum of 20 damage to your target in one successful hit.

Freedom servers
It is possible to use catapults on Freedom servers, with following limitations:
* On deed: can destroy anything (including owned houses) if given destroy building permission. Applies to ally and non-citizens as well.
* Off deed: (including perimeters) can destroy any fence, wall or hedge, but not buildings, even if the building belongs to the user.

Tips
* When attacking with a catapult during a raid, a good strategy is to use ore as ammunition. Ore does the same damage as equivalent quality rock, but unlike rock cannot be used by the defenders to repair or rebuild their walls.
* Combine ammunition into 80kg shards in order to maximize damage.
* Quality of ammunition not only affects the damage, but keeping quality 25+ generally yields a chance your ammo is not destroyed. This allows you in demolition situations to collect spent ammo for using again.
* A spyglass is an excellent tool for measuring distance when winching

Mining

Under some circumstances a warning message will appear in the events window while mining or tunnelling to inform the player that they are either unable to continue on the current tile or that continuing may cause unusual effects.

Informational messages
These messages do not prevent mining but inform the player of the result of their actions should mining continue. These may be intentional or otherwise.

; The cave walls sound hollow. : Appears when mining into another shaft and the height difference is not dangerous.

Preventative messages
Mining will be no longer possible when receiving one of the following messages.

; The cave walls sound hollow. A dangerous side shaft could emerge. [The cave shudders from some imbalance.] : Occurs inside a mine. This message appears when the tile being mined shares a single corner with an existing tunnel. To continue adjacent tiles be mined out before mining can continue on this tile. See example on the right.
; Another tunnel is too close. It would collapse. : Occurs when opening a new tunnel from the surface. Caused when there is already a tunnel to the back or the sides of the entrance tile or if a tunnel is ahead but to far down to connect to.
; The cave walls look very unstable. You cannot keep mining here. : Occurs inside a mine. Happens when mining close to the top of the rock layer. The ceiling of the newly mined tile would break the rock layer. Can sometimes be avoided by mining downwards or by lowering the mine floor and thereby opening the new tile a bit lower.
; The cave walls look very unstable and dirt flows in. You would be buried alive. : Occurs inside a mine. Happens when the tile being mined will break out to the surface, but the surface is not exposed rock. To excavate it the rock on the surface must be fully exposed.
; A dangerous crack is starting to form on the floor. You will have to find another way. [The cave shudders from some imbalance.] : Caused by undermining previous tile mined above, as in a steep upwards dropshaft would be created. No fix, though mining another wall, and therefore changing tunnel direction, worked on same tile. Going from the other side down should work.
; The ground is too steep to mine at here. You need to make it more flat. : Occurs occasionally when mining the floor down. The cause is unknown.
; The ground sounds strangely hollow and brittle. You have to abandon the mining operation. : Occurs on the surface when there's already a tunnel on the tile being tunnelled, an entrance cannot be mined here.
; The topology here makes it impossible to mine in a good way. : Occurs when trying to create a mine entrance on a perfectly flat rock tile. 1 corner must be lowered with surface mining to continue.<br>Has also been reported underground, probably when mining that tile would create a flat mine entrance. Mining downwards may work in this case.
; The mountainside would risk crumbling. You can't open a hole here. : Occurs when attempting to create a mine entrance on a rock tile that is too steep. The maximum slope is 270.
; There is no space to mine here. Clear the area first. : Occurs when the tile occupied by the player has 100 a pile of items. Clear the area.
; You fail to produce anything here. The rock is stone hard. : Occurs on the surface. This means the tile you are attempting to excavate is actually an ore vein. There's nothing to do about it, you simply have to make your entrance on another tile. Note that if you make the entrance one tile below the vein, the tunnel will open right into the vein and cannot be extended until the vein is depleted. The best course of action at this point would probably be to mine out a rock tile next to the one you get this message on.
: Happens when mining down a floor and roof is too high, Can only be fixed by collapsing all affected tiles and re-mining. (IOW. if you want the tile flat collapse it and re-mine, if you want to lower it collapse all surrounding tiles and re-mine.)
; You hear falling rocks from the other side of the wall. A deep shaft will probably emerge. : Occurs inside a mine. Caused when there is already another mine nearby, but there is too much of a height difference to connect the two mines.
; You cannot keep mining here. The rock is unusually hard. : The message displayed when one attempts to open a tunnel directly onto a vein.
; The roof sounds strangely hollow and you notice dirt flowing in, so you stop mining. : You get this when mining a ceiling too close to the surface and it is not rock.
; The water is too deep to mine here. : You get this when you are trying to mine too far under the water table.
; The roof sounds strangely hollow. You must mine the other corners if you want to create an opening.: You get this when you are mining a cave ceiling and mined to outside corners height.
; You cannot reach the ceiling. : You can't mine the ceiling any higher.
; You are not allowed to mine here. : Deed permissions have disabled mining, and at least 1 spirit templar exists to uphold the law.
; The rock sounds hollow, you will need to tunnel to continue : When trying to Surface Mine above an open tile underground, and you are already at the ceiling height of the mine.
; The rock is too hard to mine. : You have tried to mine into a reinforced tile or more rarely, happens with stacked action when the wall breaks before you run out of actions (ie trying to mine thin air).
; You are too unskilled to mine here. : You have tried to surface mine higher than your skill allows. Freedom Formula: 3 x Mining Skill. Epic Formula: 1 x Mining Skill (Not-curved).
; An altar of (deity) on the surface disturbs your operation. : You get this warning when an altar is directly above the tile you are trying to mine (possibly near the entrance?). Push the altar to another tile.
; This tile is protected by the gods. You can not mine here. : GM protected highway tile above the tile that is being mined.
The traps skill affects the success rate of placing traps.

Traps skill is increased by placing and disarming traps.

For a list of traps see traps.

Traps
Traps are devious devices used to damage or cause other ill effects to those who trigger them. The traps skill is used in the placement or disarming of traps and affects the success rate. When failing to set a trap the message, "Sadly you fail to set the trap properly, the trap triggers and is destroyed" appears and successfully setting a trap prompts the message "You carefully set the trap" To set a trap, activate the trap and right click the corresponding tile for the type of trap and click "Set trap." Once set, traps begin to decay causing them do do less damage and eventually disappear. They can only be activated by enemy kingdoms or villages. Allies, neutrals, and monsters remain unaffected.

Creating traps uses several different skills, these include: carpentry, blacksmithing, ropemaking, pottery, and masonry. For more detailed information of the various trap types, see the list below.

Quality Scale:

1 - 24.99 - Low

25 - 54.99 - Average

55 - 74.99 - High

75 - 99.99 - ???

Countering Traps
To remove a trap you must disarm it, the chance to successfully disarm relies on the Traps skill, when failing to disarm you will simply prompt the message "You fail to trigger any traps." To disarm a varity of tools and items are used, such as, rake, plank, shovel, log, and a shaft. It is advised to use something expendable such as a shaft, as when the trap is triggered, the item is destroyed or damaged.

There are three ways to detect traps, the Sixth Sense spell, being a Blacklighter, and examining the tile on which the trap is set. When using Sixth Sense or when walking within 1 tile of a trap as a Blacklighter a message is displayed in the event window, "You detect a trap!" No further information on the trap is given.

When examining a trapped tile you will receive the message "You detect a (Trap Type) of (Quality Value) quality, it was set by the (Kingdom) people."*

Someone who is rank 4 in the Path of Power can use the Trap Immunity perk.
Notes
* A 5QL bow trap produced a 2.15 damage wound (unarmored)
* A 15QL stick trap produced a 5.5 damage wound (unarmored)
* A 50QL stick trap produced two 20 damage wounds (unarmored)
* When a trap is set on a dirt or cave floor tile, it is impossible to be detected by examining; this appears to be a bizarre glitch.
* Traps once set only last a few days. Preferable to stockpile and set as needed.
* Dmg enhancer enchants, such as Rotting Touch, do work on traps.
* Terraforming on tiles that are trapped does not effect the trap.
* If a trap is set on a tree tile and the tree advances in age (Young to Mature for example) the trap will be destroyed.

Nmenth: clean up

Improve (or imp for short) is done on an item to increase its quality.

To improve the item, right-click it, click Examine, read what item is needed to improve it, activate the necessary item, and right-click the first item again to attempt to improve it.

Containers and the inventory usually show an extra imp-column to show you the tool you need to improve the items. This can be enabled or disabled by right-clicking the name header, and select toggle imp column.

Notes
* Some items require certain conditions to be improved. For example, smithing items need to be glowing hot to improve, hence it is best to improve them while they are still in a forge or other fire container.
* Most items need to be at 0 damage (repaired) to be improved, notable exceptions include wooden fences, wooden gates, and stone walls.
* Some items cannot be improved and will reflect that when the examine command gives no information for improvement. For example: new player starter kit tools, most building materials (dirt, planks, etc), yoyos, raw materials (which can, however, can be combined with higher quality materials to be improved, at the expense of the higher quality material), unrepairable items, etc.
* Unfinished items can't be improved until finished. The <tt>improve</tt> keybind won't work on them, use <tt>finish</tt> instead.
* The quality you can improve something up to is limited by two things:
** your skill that is used for improving
** the quality of the materials that are needed for improving
* When improving with items like logs or lumps, improving requires 5% of the weight of the object being improved in that material, up to a maximum of .50.
For example: if you have carpentry 20 and use quality 10 logs to improve a mallet, you can get it to at least quality 10. After that, the logs can't be used anymore for improving this mallet as its quality is higher than the quality of the logs. You can, however, get up to around 30 IF you are lucky and it only wants tools for the improving processes.

You could get it without problems close to quality 30, but as soon as the quality of the item you want to improve is higher than your skill, the quality gain per successful improve will become less and less while the damage on a fail becomes higher.

The quality of your tools doesn't affect these limits, but the better the quality, the higher the chance that the improving will succeed. On the other hand, higher quality tools will give less skill gain for improving. So if you want to grind a skill, it is better to use low quality tools and things that need few material like spindles or clay shapers for carpentry, needles for blacksmithing, carving knifes for blade smithing and so on. The lighter an item is, the less material it will need for improving, 5% of its weight or 0.5kg at max. This means a 60kg raft will only need 0.5kg of log and a 0.6kg spindle will need 0.03kg of log.

Wooden and Stone Fences/Walls
* Fences and walls have the unique property that allows the player to improve the quality even when using materials which are lower in quality then the fence or wall section being improved. The amount of increase in the quality is less, however, than it would be if using materials of a higher quality then the fence or wall section.

Tips
The Toolbelt
Here's a few things you could do to help improve when doing smithing. It's very helpful to have a toolbelt, with the toolbelt you can bind your number keys 1-10 with key bindings for toggling imping tools on your toolbelt.
* Use the console and type "Bind 1 Activate_Tool1", then doing it 9 more times until you have your number keys 1-10 tied to the toolbelt.
* Afterwards, use the console and type "Bind R Repair" and then "Bind I Improve".
You now have all of your key bindings set. Now drag the common imping tools to your toolbelt like a whetstone for sharpening, a pelt for polishing, a hammer for dents, and when tempering with water, have a small barrel of water or a waterskin in your inventory and drag the water onto the toolbelt. You can also add the lump you are using for imping onto your toolbelt.
So now you should have everything ready. When you have your item that you are going to imp in your inventory, drag your mouse over the item and press the number keys 1 through 5 to whatever next step of imping it needs. Then press "I" for improving with that tool, and "R" for repairing.
With this, you are conveniently imping with minimal effort. Enjoy!

Main / Skills / PAGENAME

Description
Woodcutting is the skill used in cutting trees down, chopping them up for logs, and creating kindling.

The quality of the felled trees you get depends on how high your woodcutting skill is. The quality of the log you get from felled trees depends on the felled tree quality - a higher skill yields more logs of top quality, lower skill yields more QL 1 logs. The same goes for kindling.

Damaged felled trees (from decay) will often yield QL 1 logs and no woodcutting skill when chopped up.

Tools required
A hatchet is best. If unavailable, other axe types also work.

Additionally, you can also use a long sword, two handed sword, shovel, pickaxe, sickle, rake, or scythe to cut down a tree, but only an axe or saw will be able to chop a felled tree into logs.

Tree types
:* Pine - Very abundant.
:* Birch - Burns well and is good for making buildings as it grows fast and is generally abundant.
:* Willow - These hulking trees are like oaks in that they destroy other trees and must be planted apart. Used for making bows and (fine) fishing rods.
:* Oak - Tools made from Oak take 20% less damage through use. Oaks require room to grow and will kill other trees near it. They must be planted by themselves and must be planted away from each other. Slow growing.
:* Cedar - Best used for containers, as it slows the decay rate of the container. Does not effect the items inside the container. Also used for making arrows.
:* Maple - Produces maple sap when in season. Also used for making arrows.

These are fruit trees, and barely produce any wood when cut down:

:* Apple
:* Cherry - Popular as furniture, reddish colour.
:* Lemon
:* Olive

Uncategorized Trees, that added in v1.1. Sprouts can be found while foraging.
:* Linden
:* Chestnut
:* Walnut
:* Fir

Tips
* High quality logs are especially required for improving carpentry items.
* Overaged trees have the most wood. Cutting trees younger than mature down to get wood is a waste of time and resources.
* Having a good Forestry skill (30 skill) can be useful while woodcutting because it allows you to tell the age of trees without examining them.
