(By the way, Armageddon RPI MUD is truly breathtaking (armageddon.org)). Cantr II is a persistent browser-based game much like Wurm, though I've never really gotten into it (cantr.net). I've also a penchant for the underdog and a love for beauty off the beaten path. Wurm Online is terrific. The community is good, the developers are competent, and there is no instancing.
