As of March 25, 2014 use is tied into the [[Mining]] role for [[deed]]s.
Did some testing on the test server:
with 90 channelling, disintegrate removes 3 times the power of the cast from a slate vein (ql21) - i.e. a power 61 cast removed 183 shards
Excact same numbers for a ql 22 lead vein.
