Items are one of the biggest parts of Wurm. Organizing them also happens to be one of the biggest parts of WurmPedia.

== Organization ==

Items are currently categorized based on the skill used to create them, and in the common [[:Category:Items]]. This is enforced by [[Template:Item]] for created items, manually elsewhere. There is no overall structure to how these categories are in turn categorized. There are other categories, mainly for armour and weapon classes, as well as for non-created items.

We should probably formalize a stable structure. Possibly create an item template for non-created items so they too can benefit from standardization, and reduce manual categorization.

There are some faults in the current template, see [[Template talk:Item]] for details. Generally the design is stable enough.
