* The wooden nameplate is used on a [[Animal husbandry#Caring|cared for]] animal to give it a custom name. This completely replaces its birth name.

** Activate the wooden nameplate, then right-click on your chosen, cared for animal.

** A creature is considered domestic if it can be groomed. An exception is that [[bison]] cannot use the nameplate.

** The creature must have [[Age#Creatures|aged]] into its adult form, e.g. a Young [[foal]] must age into a Young [[horse]] before the nameplate can be used.

* It can be purchased from the Marks Shop for 18000 marks.

* It is not tradeable.
