Paving is done on [[Packed Dirt]]. There are two methods of paving, one using [[Rock Shards]] to pave which results in [[Terrain:Gravel|Gravel]], the other using [[Stone Brick]] which results in [[Terrain:Cobblestone|Cobblestone]]
Activate either a Paving is done on [[Rock Shards]] or a [[Stone BrickTerrain:Packed dirt|Packed dirt]]. Simply activate the item you want to pave with, right -click on the packed dirt tile and select Pavechoose 'pave'.

Road construction is very important in wurm, it lets you go places - fast. On a paved road you can reach speeds up to 17.31km/h compared to the 11km/h on grass and less then half of that on sand. That in combination with finding your way around (which many seems to have trouble with in wurm) makes it
pretty obvious that roads are a good thing to have.
