* The types of sprouts that can be used to create hedges are: [[Camellia]], [[Cedar]], [[Lavender]], [[Maple]], [[Oleander]], [[Rose]], and [[Thorn]].
* Hedges are planted on tile borders using 5 sprouts of the same type per border.
* Hedges can only be planted on borders where at least one of the bordering tiles is [[dirt]], [[steppe]], or [[grass]] (including trees and bushes). [[Crops]] and [[packed dirt]] do not count as dirt.
* Hedges cannot be planted on the same border as an arched wall of any type.
* Hedges don't have slope limitations for creating, unlike fences.
