Difficult ores to mine give more Higher mining skill can get you higher quality [[Rock Shards]] or [[:category:resources | ore]]. As with most things in Wurm, mining too easy ore gives little skill then easier , while mining too hard oregives high chance of failure. Failure can be estimated as the number of QL 1.0 QL ore or shards are usually counted as failures, and give very low to no skillores.

Rock is the easiest or to mine, while Gold is the most difficult ore to mine.
