You will not gain [[skill]] from an [[archery]] target if your bow skill is above 40.
The Pecan Theory: When using an archery target, scores 5 and below will go toward your specific bow skill and scores 6 and above go toward your Archery skill. However, single shots that increase both overall and specific bow skill have been witnessed.
