A full set of leather armor is the bare minimum for fighting Lava Spiders at lower Fighting levels.

Please add Chain/Plate is more fighting tipssuitable when facing a spider or any other animal which bites.

Chain/Plate Lava Spiders should generally not be attempted until over 20FS. This is more suitable when facing dependent on skills such as [[weapon]] skill and [[shield]] skill as well as the quality of the equipment being used (armors and weapons). Always attempt to gain optimum footing whenever possible. Fighting on a spider or any other animal which bites[[horse]] is an excellent way of doing this.
