On a failed attempt to create the puppet, the [[string of cloth]] is used up (0.50kg) and any leftovers take heavy damage.
To unlock the ability to make puppets, you need to first make a Yo-Yo [[yoyo]] to unlock the [[Toy making]] skill.
At low skill in [[toy making]] better use low ql shafts or attach it as last part. At present it seems that ql addition from attaching the shaft is based on [[carpentry]] and not toy making! It may happen that you end up with a puppet with a ql much higher than your toy making skill and that makes it very hard to attach anything to the puppet after you added the shaft.
