Bred animals have a chance of having traits.(Enhancement/Deformity). Animals can have multiple traits. Examining an animal will show traits, if one has the required skill level:
* ? skill: "It has a certain spark in its eyes." (affects breeding?)
* 20 skill: "It will fight fiercely." (High fighting skill?)
* 21 skill: "It has fleeter movement than normal." (Minor speed boost)
Rolf as of the game update on Friday, 27 May 2011, has made changes to Breeding and commented on inbreeding with a forum post:
Allright added those much needed modifications.<br /><br />ALSO<br /><br />beware of inbreeding. It adds to negative traits as well but silently and doesn't count against the pool.<br />Inbreeding is mating with your father/mother or when you have the same mother or father.
