A group of Blacklight players came to the attention of MR when one of them ([[Player:Shakys|Shakys]]) built up a small island deed south of The Shroud (within extremely close promixity of an MR deed) and declared himself Emperor of Horde of the Summoned.
Although MR at the time wished to remain neutral to Black Lighters, [[Player:Shakys|Shakys]] declared that he would attack MR, that there was no NAP (Non-aggression pact) and then engaged an MR envoy who approached them to pursue peace talks straining the relationship between MR and BL. The now BL Emperor [[Player:Shakys|Shakys]] (playing on [[Player:Aramisii|Aramisii]]) and noble [[Player:Kaineomaine|Kaineomaine]] were killed by a group of MR sailors logged off on a boat as they tried to pursue the fleeing MR envoy through open water.
On the morning of March 13th: [[Player:Roman|Roman]], [[Player:Zivirt|Zivirt]], [[Player:Noom|Noom]], [[Player:Kharm|Kharm]], [[Player:Motasolo|Motasolo]], [[Player:Moghedian|Moghedien]] raced to The Black Light in defence of an MR tower which was being conquered. When they arrived, they discovered that the MR tower was attacked by BL players. Such action would subsequently lead to open-warfare between the two kingdoms.
