When mining or digging, you will occasionally get the message that your tool is stuck and you will have to move to free it. This is an anti Macro device, but also adds a bit of realism to the game. Even if it is a little annoying.
The best way to get free is to move diagonally across a tile from one corner to the oppositecorner.
