Description

Armour is equipment worn to protect against damage, at the cost of attack speed and mobility. Different types of armor are effective against different attack types.

For spellcasting/archery buff, defaults to the heaviest type of armor that is worn. Leather with a chain gauntlet will default to chain. Plate with a plate helm.

Protection

Armour protects by increasing glance rates and reducing damage taken from hits.

Damage reduction rates

Note: metal types have properties which may improve damage reduction rates

Leather 45% - 60%
Studded Leather 50% - 62.5%
Chain 55% - 62.5%
Plate 65%
Drake 65%
Scale 70%

Note: Rolf stated rare armour pieces give 3-9% damage reduction bonus.
