Once Malvada advertised the attack, the WLers ran towards the WL. First they planted a Homestead about 500m from the White Light (a rule of Wurm is no deeds shall be planted on the Lights themselves), this did three things: One it shifted the focus of the battle to the deed, and it forced the BLers into having to attack the deed because it acted like a castle. It could not be ignored, and lastly, gave the WLers an unfair advantage as they already outnumbered the BLers, but now they could respawn when they died, as their towns were allied with this deed.

The BLers had won, however they had not managed to destroy the WL as planned. They did however come out better off as the WLers had lost lots of items and champions.

Ok, im(Pauven) just writing this up quickly.

I was at the battle, it was the biggest battle i'd ever been in on Wurm. I was fighting for the BLers. If i remember correctly, Malvada started the battle, and she posted the time on the Forums, for the WLers to see too.

Towns there for the BLers include:

Valley Of Cursed Souls (VCS)

Libilian Outlaws (LO)

LO Funky Town (FT)

Libilias Rebels (LR)

Most of the fighters were from VCS, LO, and FT had a few each, and only i was there for LR.

The battle saw many Champions fall, most of, if not all, WL ones.

Battle Summary:

Most of us met at VCS, and went past NT towards the Light. Once we got in 150 tiles distance from the WL, they started popping up in Local.

It was established after 5 mins that the WLers were using JK chat as a battle chat, so we couldnt hear what they were saying.

We got to the valley of the WL, and looking to our right, we saw their deed.

We turned and ran to the edge of it, and started planning our battle. It was daylight, no fog, so the visibility was good.

I was staying near the back of the group of BLers, while we hunted down the WLers that werent on the deed.

I sent my pet Hyena to deal with a couple WLers who came out of the deed, and they quickly fell with most of us attacking, and respawned seconds later on the deed, where they picked up some fresh weapons.

I started being targetted by one of them and was accused of being the weakest there. I was far from it =P.

We stayed near the deed for a while, killing whoever came out, and watching them respawn. When they died, we stripped their corpses of weapons, so they would be running low soon. Before long i had some decent weapons and a studded jacket, as i came with a couple of stolen swords and no armor.

We decided to head towards the WL, as they werent stopping us. They had foolishly tried to wall it in, but there were a few small holes not yet completed that we went into and guarded. Nobody could get in, and when they were coming, they were dieing.

After a while of trying to desicrate, we found it was no good, and the Altar wasnt getting much damage.

We pushed back to their deed, in the hopes of destroying it.

Once we got there, most of their champions had already fallen, though we were still slightly outnumbered, and had had far fewer deaths. As we saw there deed, there were some GMs happily flying around it, and lighting fires to make it lighter there, which was to both of our advantages, but i guess we took advantage more than the WLers, as we knew where there deed started, and were able to hide in the dark.

Before long, i had been taken down to 75% health by the WLer who was targetting me, who happened to be a Champion who was now experencing Permadeath, and a random WLer who was shooting war arrows everywhere.

When all their Champions were down, and they were running out of weapons, we pressed onto the deed, their heavy guards came running out, and we lost more people, but we managed to defeat the guards, i dont know what happened after this, as i was unarmored and targetted by a guard who had just killed someone, and was down within seconds with eye hits.

When i made it back to the deed, we had looted it, and i got my stuff back from a kind Fusspawn i think.

I stayed back to look for anything they missed, then two WLers spawned and looked at me so i caught up with the rest.

Story

The White Light

While the Archives lack any specific details of this battle. What is known is the Horde of the Summoned was led by Malvada, who supposedly was appointed to the post by none other than Libila herself. The objective was simple: Take the infamous Steel Sceptre of Ascension to the Altar of Three and destroy it. Rendering the forces of Jenn-Kellon effectively useless without their beloved White Light.

Now the records do not say as to how or why the plan was discovered. But a defense force was quickly rallied up and camped a mere half-kilometer from the White Light. When the Horde discovered that the element of surprise was gone, they attacked with a fury not seen for many a starfall. The battle could be easily compared with the Battle of Armageddon that so many beliefs refer to in their texts.

But for some reason unknown now, the Jenn-Kellon army was able to beat back the rampaging Hordes and claimed victory. However, it isn't known of what became of the Steel Sceptre of Ascension. Either it stills lies somewhere buried under the blood of many a fighter. Or worse, could've been spirited away to await perhaps the fabled Armageddon War that may be yet to come....

Review (WLers Point of View)

The initial plan by the BLers was to take out the White Light by using a artifact (Steel Sceptre of Ascension). While this is risky, success would mean the storyline would move forward.

Once the deed was there, it spawned guards which gave the WLers even more of an advantage and spawned fighters to annoy the attackers. After a while the BLers broke onto the deed, drained it, killed everyone and took the final lives from Champions, leaving the BLers to skip merrily back to their land, while being pursued by the last Champion, who wanted a 1 on 1 fight with Malvada. Malvada won, which finalised the victory for the BLers.
