Part 1: Gear up!

You may find it helpful to stick around the starting settlement for your first few hours. Use the spirit guards for protection, and the bartenders for food. Also, there is often clay, iron and water nearby.

Often times the trader will have cheap items that are very helpful to new players. As a new player you can trade foraged items, pottery and spindles for the following. Sometimes you may have to bargain excessivly in order for the trade to be equal. More options for getting coin!
