Main / Floats
Description
Floats has to be added to lines, to be able to see when a fish can be hooked. Once the pole, line and hook are assembled, drag the item (float) to the line and drop it onto it. There are 4 types of float:
- Feather - part of butchered loot from rooster, pheasant and hen.
- Twig - found on overaged bush tiles.
- Small moss - taken from moss.
- Bark - found on overaged birch trees.
Usage
Floats will take damage over time when used, and will need replacing from time to time. They will auto-replace from the same float type in the tackle box at the end of a fish action. Rare floats will take less damage.
Floats should be chosen wisely for each fishing situation, as they will affect the outcomes and difficulty of catching a fish (i.e. missing or jumping the hook, etc). Each fish has a feeding height of "top", "bottom" or "any" depth, and there is a corresponding float choice that offers the best chance to hook each fish. Best = -5 to difficulty, Okay = 0 to difficulty, Poor = +8 to difficulty
