Description
Polearms is the skill for using polearm weapons. Polearms give double damage against mounted moving creatures. They are two-handed, so cannot be used with a shield.
Skill effects
Higher skill in polearms increases both hit chances and parry chances. The main Polearms skill helps with all types of polearms, but the sub-skills for each polearm type only help when using those types of polearms.
Types
There are 5 types of polearms, with 3 sub-skills:
- Halberd: Halberd sub-skill. Cutting damage.
- Long spear: Long spear sub-skill. Piercing damage.
- Spear: Long spear sub-skill also. Piercing damage.
- Staff (wooden): Staff sub-skill. Mauling damage.
- Staff (metal): Staff sub-skill. Mauling damage.
