Skill and improvement

Description

A tightly bound bundle of arrows.

Usage

Arrow Bundles allow the player to combine multiple arrows into one item, so that they can all be improved, and spell cast on as one.

Creating

  • To create a bundle, activate a wire and right click a war arrow or hunting arrow and click Bind.
  • Only one arrow is added to a bundle upon creation.
  • To add another arrow to the bundle activate an arrow, right click the bundle, and click Add to Bundle.
  • Multiple arrows cannot be added to a bundle, they are added one at a time.
  • Arrow types can be mixed in a bundle. Both War arrows and Hunting arrows can be added to the same bundle.

Separating

  • To separate the bundle back into arrows, activate a pair of pliers, right click the bundle and click Unbind.
    • The unbind action can not fail
    • The individual arrows will be of the same quality as the bundle
    • Any spells cast upon the bundle will be applied to all arrows
    • Rarity of the bundle will transfer to one arrow in the bundle

Notes

  • The number of arrows you can add to a bundle is limited by your Fletching skill and is scaled between 2 arrows and a maximum of 41 at around 100 skill.
  • Arrow bundles have the amount of arrows they contain appended to the name.
  • The initial quality of a bundle is dictated by the creation arrow. If an arrow is added of a different quality, the bundle will average the quality of the arrows contained.
  • An MOI can cause an arrow bundle to turn rare, but the bundle rarity will be transferred to only one of the arrows when the bundle is unbound.
  • You can mix War arrows and Hunting arrows in the same bundle and their type will not change as a result of being bundled.
  • The items and bundle must be in your inventory to create, add to, or unbind.
  • Rare+ and casted arrows can be added to a bundle but their rarity and spells will be lost. (You are warned at the start of the action, and have time to stop.)
  • Creation time is variable and based on the quality of the arrow, wire and your fletching skill.
  • The materials required when improving a bundle is scaled to match the number of arrows being improved. 41 arrows means 41x the required log amount per imp action.
  • There is no difficulty increase improving the arrows in a bundle no matter how many arrows the bundle contains.
  • Arrow bundles can have spells cast on them, but are substantially more difficult to cast on and can shatter.
  • You can cast any spell onto the bundle that you would be able to cast onto an arrow and that spell will affect each arrow in the bundle.
  • You cannot improve an arrow bundle that has more arrows in it than you can add yourself.
  • You cannot rune or imbue an arrow bundle.
  • You cannot combine bundles, you can only add single arrows.
  • The wood type of the bundle (and all arrows contained in it) is determined by the wood type of the last arrow added.
  • Arrow bundles can be mailed and are a single item, costing 1c to mail
