Animals do die of age, see patchnote 050907b. If they no longer do, report it in bugzilla, as the purpose of the aging system is to get rid of any animals that are stuck/unreachable.
Animals dying of age was very noticeable on several occasions when their live-time was shortened. --Manny 17:28, 10 October 2007 (CDT)
