This article is a stub. You can help by adding to it.
Stubs are articles that writers have begun work on, but are not yet complete enough to be considered finished articles. |
There are three different kinds of stuck commonly referenced in the game.
Stuck (trapped)
This happens when you have, for example, fallen off a cliff and landed inside someone's gated mine. There are a few ways to get free:
- Wait for the owner of the mine to come and let you out.
- Mine a new exit from the mine.
- You can commit suicide by typing /suicide into your chat window. Then you can re-spawn at Newtown, The Shroud, or at a deed if you are a member.. Note that it is only possible to carry your starter tools, writs, deeds and Bag of keeping (plus any items inside it) through death.
- If you have more than 21 body strength, it is possible to destroy the gate (or gatehouse) to get free.
/stuck command
This is used if you ever get stuck inside an object like a wall or a tree, you can simply type /stuck into the chat window. If this does not work, try climbing out or try logging out longer then the time shown with the command /lotime. If all that fails type /suicide, or call a GM.
Stuck (tools)
When mining or digging, you will occasionally get the message that your tool is stuck and you will have to move to free it. This is an anti-Macro device, but also adds a bit of realism to the game. Even if it is a little annoying.
The best way to get free is to move diagonally across a tile from one corner to the opposite corner.
+-----+-----+ |o | o| | \ | / | | \|/ | +-----+-----+ | / |x | | / | \ | |o | o| +-----+-----+
x = the position you are standing in when your tool gets stuck
\ and / = the path you need to follow to free your tool
o = The position you need to get to in order for your tool to be freed.
