hmmm this seems a little confusing, a few people new to our village have said so as well. i tend to use the rule of thumb that if the tile im standing on has a slope of 20, then the top side will drop ten and the bottom side will lift ten. i have also noticed you can use the flatten button to pull dirt down a hill. if i could only rember how i did it, i have also had a pile of dirt at the bottom of a slope before and i slowly flattened the dirt down the hill towards that pile, once dirt should have been droped onto that tile it was instead added to the pile. anyway does anyone else feel this needs cleaning up or not?
