There are only 2 places to safely store items, a settlement token bank and a bag of keeping (or a master bag of keeping).

• A settlement token bank account only stores 5 items and any amount of coins. If item is a container like a backpack it has to be empty to be placed in your settlement token bank account.
• You can also store some small items in a bag of keeping, you will keep these items when you die. However Bag of Keepings are hard to get hold of.

New players may wish to store items inside a house at first, but these can be broken into, and it is advised to store items inside a chest, in your house when you have more valuable items and more experience.

You can store items inside locked large chests for some security. These chests can be lockpicked however. Small chests provide little security as they can be burned inside a fire.

Youcan lock a large chest using a large padlock which is created by using an iron lump on a small anvil, upon creation you will recieve a large padlock and a key, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LOSE THE KEY, activate lock and right click large chest and press lock, to open the chest activate the key and press open

. You can lock a door using a doorlock which is created by using an iron lump on a small anvil, upon creation you will recieve a door lock, activate the lock and right clock on the door and press lock.
