Description
Horses are found on steppe or grass land. You can use a rope on them to lead them.
- Butchering products: meat, tail, hoof, animal fat, hide, bladder, eye
- Lead-able. Does not have to tamed to be lead.
- Ride-able with 21 Body Control.
- Can swim if lead in to the water with a rope.
- Can be tamed with seeds.
- Poor climber.
- 4 known colour types: Black, white, grey, and brown. Gold foals grow up into brown horses.
- Wild horses all have the same speed: 18 kph.
- Any traits (see below), the horse's hunger, tile steepness (uphill only) and your weight can effect the speed of the horse. Your weight is randomly checked while on the horse. Paving or tile type has no effect on horse speed.
- Saddles and horse shoes will raise the maximum speed. A horse's gear can only be accessed or changed when tamed, and only by the tamer.
Traits from Animal husbandry
Speed related traits will turn on and off at random intervals by design.
- "It has fleeter movement than normal." - This trait is known to create a small speed boost.
- "It has lightning movement." - This causes a much higher speed boost.
- "It can carry more than average." - The rider's inventory will affect the horse's speed less.
- "It has very strong leg muscles." - The horse can be ridden up a much steeper slope.
- "The legs are of different length." - This causes a very severe loss of speed.
