In Wurm, a player character can have multiple accounts, or alternative/alternate characters (alts). However, it is frowned upon and there are some restrictions which make it illegal to abuse alts. Abuse of alts is any action taken using an alt to gain an unfair advantage for your main character, at no risk to your primary account, that would otherwise be unavailable to you via normal gameplay:
- You may not use an alt to act as a tank for a creature so that you may safely gain fight skill from it.
- You may not use an alt to suicide back and forth between towns.
- You may not use an alt to steal.
If you break any of the other rules using an alt, your main accounts will be treated with the same punishment as your alt.
