Today the pole dropped below QL 30 and the Carp I caught were all less than 5kg. Not saying better pole guarantees that every fish will be heavier but I seem to have the 'feel' from previous occasions that I catch heavier fish with a better pole. Fish quality is dependent upon weight for each differing species. The minimum fish quality is 10.90.
Either weight or type of fish causes differing amounts of damage to the fishing pole used.
