Higher QL pole seems to increase the likelihood of catching heavier fish. Just recently I was using a QL 30+ pole and all Carp I caught were 5kg or greater. Today the pole dropped below QL 30 and the Carp I caught were all less than 5kg. Not saying better pole guarantees that every fish will be heavier but I seem to have the 'feel' from previous occasions that I catch heavier fish with a better pole. Incidentally my fishing skill is 29 point something or other, nearly 30.

High QL fish seem to increase the likelihood of a high QL meal when you cook them. I usually stick a couple of roach or perch in with the QL 10.41 Carp. That may be down to higher meal difficulty.

The above may well be wrong but, if confirmable, I would say its useful info for the page.
