A support beam is a wooden construction made from logs, shafts and iron ribbons intended to reinforce and support cave walls in mines.
Usage
Notes
A support beam is required on every wall of a cave tile (both sides) to prevent the tile from collapsing. A reinforced tile can't be mined.
Hint: If making the support beams outside of the mine and using a small cart, the best approach is to leave it unfinished (e.g. requiring a shaft or a ribbon). Completed support beams will however fit in a large cart.
