Main / Terrain / Lava

A lava tile comes from lava eruptions, which are extremely rare events and happen only on rock tiles. Lava flows downhill, and its path can be changed by terraforming in front of it.

  • Lava is the most dangerous tile in Wurm. It has the potential to kill in seconds if stood on it. Stay away or expect damage!
  • Animals will avoid walking over lava, but they can be led onto a lava tile--but will not receive any damage. This can be used to an advantage if a player is being chased by an aggressive animal.
  • Lava fiends and lava spiders spawn on lava tiles.
  • Lava dries up over time and changes back into rock, raising its slope by a tiny amount.
