*Each vein contains a random amount of ore anywhere between 1 and 65536 and can be depleted.
*On the surface veins may be [[Prospecting|prospected]] for from any [[rocktile]] tile.
*Underground with enough prospecting skill it's possible to tell the rough quality of veins and how much ore is left in them.
