A support beam is a wooden construction made from logs, shafts, and iron ribbons intended to reinforce and support cave walls in caves/mines/tunnels.
Usage
Notes
A support beam is required on every wall of a cave tile (both sides) to prevent the tile from collapsing. A reinforced wall can't be mined.
Hint: If making a support beam outside of the cave, and using a small cart (or rowboat) to transport them, the best approach is to leave the beam unfinished (requiring a shaft or a ribbon), and finish it inside the cave. However, completed support beams will fit in a large cart.
Support beams may be removed by mayors of a deed if the reinforced tile is on deed.
