Gem is a shiny precious gem that can appear on the ground after a mining action. Depending on its quality, it can be worth quite a bit to a trader. Maximum quality of the gem depends on the quality of the tile mined or your mining skill, whichever is lower.

Priests can cast Vessel on gems to store favor for later use. The amount of favor stored depends on the quality of the gem and the faith of the priest.
