Description
A portal is a gateway to another land, which can be used to instantly teleport you to another server in Wurm.
Golden Valley
On Golden Valley the portals can be found at the end of the tutorial or at New Dawn. Portals are one-way, so be sure of your decision before you choose to enter one. You must have a premium account to go to the Wild server.
The portals are:
- Flame portal: Takes you to the starter town Gold Coast of Mol-Rehan on the Wild server.
- Stone portal: Takes you to the starter town The Landing of Jenn-Kellon on the Wild server.
- Stone desolate portal: Takes you to the starter town The Shroud of Horde of the Summoned on the Wild server.
- Stone freedom stones: Takes you to the starter town The Howl of Freedom Isles on the Freedom server.
Wild
On Wild server, the portals are at the starter towns Gold coast, The Landing and The Shroud. If you use the portal, it will reduce your fighting and archery skills by 5% if they are above 50. Any items in your inventory or on your body will stay when you leave the server. They will return to your inventory when you return though.
The portal is:
- Stone freedom stones: Takes you to the starter town The Howl of Freedom Isles on the Freedom server.
Freedom
On Freedom server, the portals are in Samling and Freedom Market. If you use the portal, it will reduce your fighting and archery skills by 5% if they are above 50. The only items you can take with you when changing servers are coins, nodrop items (e.g. spyglasses, bags of keeping) and the starter tool kit.
Note that if you are on the 14-day convert timer (see /convert), the portal will not convert you and teleport you to your former kingdom.
Epic
Epic Portals are player made structures. When you Use an Epic portal for the first time on either the Wild or Freedom servers you are presented with a choice of the available Epic servers. Upon making your selection your account will switch to a fresh set of skills, your inventory will remain behind, and you will appear on the server you selected.
Skills on the Epic server are separate from your skills on Freedom/Wild, the same range of skills are available but they function differently. Skill gain is around twice as fast and they follow the Curve formula instead of normal numerical levels.
When you enter an Epic portal whilst on one of the Epic servers you will return to the server you originally came from and your skills and inventory will be as they were when you left.
