* Chain armour offers a defense bonus vs . stabbing damage, while the equipment itself receives extra damage from stabbing.
* With a 50 QL [[large anvil]] you need at least 19.75 [[chain armour smithing]], or 31 QL [[large anvil]] and 23 [[chain armour smithing]] to get an option to create a [[Chain jacket]]. This is because you must have at least 6% chance of making something in order for it to appear in the list. The chance depends on the anvil, metal, and your skill.
* This appears to be an item only available for premium accounts to create. With a chain armor smithing of 19.80 and an 80 QL large anvil, the option to craft did not appear in the menu. Upon immediately upgrading to a premium account, the option appeared with the minimum 6% chance to create.
