The bonus to this is that you will also have higher percentages on making [[stone brick]]s and [[stone slab]]s. Improving [[forge]]s and [[oven]]s is also great skill gain, but does add a large amount of clutter to an area.
Another decent way to train masonry is to improve [[iron fence]]s with [[stone brick]]s. At 27/28/29 Masonry you gain around .031/.029/.027 Masonry masonry skill per 30 second improvement.
