Introducing Old Guard...
The Old Guard Clan is not just a Wurm based clan. Most members play in a variety of online games. Our purpose is to have friends to play games online with to escape from our everyday lives. The clan itself has been in existence for about 7 years. The clan is governed by a Council of it's oldest and most contributive members. There are currently 5 members on this Council.
Old Guard Wurm:
A successful village located in The Guards Valley on the west side of Big Mountain.
This page is a good place to look for information about this great village. specially if you're out to check our traders inventory.

The telling of Old Guard
When the first wurmians came here this land was wild and dangerous. The few trained fighters there was had their hands full looking after new town and keeping the citizens there safe from the various beasts lurking in the woods. The tales from those who left and came back told of bounty and riches hardly imaginable to those who lived their monotonous lives in New Town. The safety of selling spindles and pottery bowls to Jake every night came with a price... and that price was adventure and excitement.
It didn't take long before BaldEagleOG decided he to deserved better than carving spindles. He started systematically exploring his surroundings looking for a more fitting camp site. He soon decided that it was impossible to navigate the thick forrest, so he started looking for a way up to the top of Big Mountain. He knew that from up there he would be able to scout vast areas and find a brilliant spot for his next homestead, only to find it was hopeless since the mountain was surrounded by vertical cliffs all around.
- One day I ran into a black wolf in the forrest. I was out of water and pretty damn tired, so i was lucky he was up wind from me. I started manouvering around him, but I soon realized he had me trapped in a small valley. Having nowhere else to turn i decided to get as far away as possible and hope for him to walk the other way. While looking for a place to rest up I stumbled on to a path that looked like it was in regular use. It was no animal trail, but people out here didn't necesarily mean friends. Since i was low on food and water, and had little of any value with me, except from my life I decided to take my chances. Just a few minutes down the trail i noticed it was ascending slightly, and up ahead i could see the trail raising above the treetops that was surrounding me. That blessed wolf!
This was the first visit Bald ever made to Donner's Pass. Here he met Beowulf who had his settlement already set up halfway up to the top of Big Mountain. He led Bald to a viewpoint and Bald discovered that the forrest ha had tediously scouted for the past two days was all part of a huge valley. The size! The potential! BaldEagle and Beowulf gained each others trust, and soon enough they agreed it was a good idea for Bald to settle in the valley. They would be close enough in a time of crisis, yet have room to do their own things. An alliance was slowly forming.
In time they both recruited help from travelers who had left New Time in boredom. They each built a separate camp - Donner's Pass and OldGuard. In time the ambition grew, and the manpower with it. Camps became villages and the valley was sealed of to stop any scavengers from exploiting the land.
While the adventure moves forth the dream of prosperity has come to pass. Life in the Valley is plentifull, though demanding...

Recruiting
We are constantly on the watch for hard working, resourceful and dedicated players with common sense. Our current age-span is 18 to mid 30's. If you are interested in joining Old Guard you will simply have to get to know us. :) Be warned joining OG is a process unless you know us in real-life. You will have to prove to us you are industrious and trustworthy. Usually the process is something along the lines of: hang out and chat, be hired for chores in the valley, get permanent access to resources within the valley, become trainee and offered a house within the valley, and eventually get access to the village itself. This process may take weeks, so don't quit your day job when you decide you want to become an OG too. No - you may not have an application form. You will simply have to hunt us down in-game.
Projects
These are the projects we have spent numerous hours on. Some larger than others, some of greater public interest.
