-Birch trees are a relatively common species that have been held in high regard for quite some time as the ideal 'fuel tree'. Birchwood will burn longer than an equal weight of other wood; however, it cannot exceed the burn time cap so most time this bonus is wasted. Birch does spread relatively quicker however, and may be an ideal substitute for pine if planted in larger numbers.
