Main / Technical Details / Frame rate

Description

Frame rate is the number of frames per second (FPS) the client is able to generate.

The current frame rate can be displayed in Wurm by double-clicking on the status bar, right-clicking on the status bar and selecting Toggle FPS, opening the console, and using the command toggle fps. This command can also be added to the autorun.txt file to display the frame rate constantly.

The statistics window can also be used, which is opened by F9 ( F4 in the unstable client) or toggle stats in the console).

The maximum frame rate the client will render can be limited with a frame rate limiter, which is especially useful if a player runs into heat problems. Tips for improving the frame rate can be found on the client configuration page as well.
