Description
A small sailing boat is a small ship used for personal travel and transporting smaller items. It does not have a large hold, but can carry items such as fish and tools. Small barrels can be used to expand its practical storage capacity.
Small sailing boats can still sustain a speed of about 6-8 km/h in low winds, making them useful all-round boats for server travel.
Vessel details
- Requires 20.10 mind logic to command, so having premium at least once is required.
- Passengers: 1 captain and 4 crew.
- Maximum speed: 21.34 km/h.
- Hold capacity: see #Loadable containers and #Useful quantities.
- Cannot hold rafts.
- Minimum passable depth: 5 dirt.
- Can be dragged by anyone.
- Size: 2 tiles by 1 tile.
- Height: 3 dirt from water level to deck.
Notes
- The second smallest boat possible to make, excluding the raft, which is not a true ship.
- Ships with a quality of less than 10 cannot be commanded.
- This includes ships whose damage percentage would calculate to bring the quality below 10, such as a 12 quality ship with 17 damage.
- Repairing a ship can sometimes result in the ship retaining a quality above 10, making it commandable again.
- The quality of the active keel section affects the success chance for creation.
- Ships cannot be hauled up ladders.
Loadable containers
List is a work in progress.
- Large chest - 2
- Bed - 1
- Weapons rack - 2
- Large barrel - 3
- Bulk storage bins and crates will not fit in the small sailing boat.
Useful quantities
The following are the maximum hard-coded amounts of certain items a small sailing boat can hold due to their volume or other factors. Weight has no effect on these limits.
- 40 standard units, or 20 kg, of dirt, sand, stone shards, or ore.
- 67 peat.
- 94 bricks.
- 7 slabs.
- 9 logs.
- 2 felled trees.
- 100 planks.
