Important note: Changing the tile a resource node is on in certain ways, i.e. cutting the grass, planting in the dirt, chopping down a tree or dropping sand/dirt will destroy the node! Strangely digging sand does not destroy the node.
- Digging sand from a tile containing a dune grass node does not harm the node. Dropping the sand back makes the node disappear.
- Digging dirt from under gravel pavement on a tile neighboring a tile with a resource node makes the node disappear.
- Chopping down a tree makes the node disappear.
- Cutting long grass with a sickle or scythe does not harm the node. Cutting wild grass with a sickle does not harm the node. Cutting wild grass with a scythe makes the node disappear.
- Planting seeds on dirt makes the node disappear.
- Surface mining does not harm the node.
- A node spawning on a farm tile does not harm crops
More notes:
Cutting down a tree with a snow node on it removes the node.
Cutting down a tree with other node types on it removes the node.
Cutting down a tree with nodes on the tiles next to it on grass (north and west) doesn't destroy the nodes.
Digging on sand with a node doesn't destroy it, however dropping the sand does.
Digging on sand next to a node (eastern side) doesn't remove the node, however dropping the sand back does destroy it.
Digging on a grass tile with a snow node does remove the node.
Digging on a grass tile with another node type does remove the node.
Digging on a grass tile with a node next to it on a grass tile (west of) doesn't destroy it, and neither does dropping the dirt back down.
Digging on a tile with clay doesn't destroy the node (swampy puddle)
Digging on the sand tile next to it (eastern side of the above clay) doesn't destroy the node next to it and dropping the sand doesn't destroy the node next to it (swampy puddle)
Mining on a rock tile doesn't destroy the node (mineral debris) with this message 'You chip away at the rock.'
Mining on a rock tile doesn't destroy the node (mineral debris) with this message 'You mine some stone shards.'
Prospecting on a rock tile doesn't destroy the node (mineral debris)
Tunnelling on a rock tile doesn't destroy the node (mineral debris)
A pile of stone shards appearing on a rock tile with a node (mineral debris) doesn't destroy the node.
'You create a tunnel entrance!' on the node tile does destroy the node (mineral debris)
Grass tile with Orange-red flowers and a Briar patch node, if you pick the flowers with a sickle it doesn't destroy the node.
Grass tile with a Briar patch node, if you cut the grass with a sickle it doesn't destroy the node.
Grass tile with Orange-red flowers and a Mints node, with 'wild' grass, if you cut the grass using a scythe (hay making) it does destroy the node (and flowers as usual)
Lavender Bush with Nightshade node, if you cut down the bush it removed the node too.
Roots and bulb node on a flower and grass tile, harvest the node and the flowers remain and no change to grass.
If you drop dirt on a rock tile with a node (mineral debris) it destroys the node.
If you plant a tree sprout on a grass tile with a snow node it removes the node.
Cultivate on grass with a node (Animal burrow) removes the node (and turns the tile to dirt as usual)
If you use flatten on a sand tile with a node it removes the node.
Investigating (Archaeology) with a shovel and trowel seems to work fine on tiles with nodes, definitely getting fragments and dead deed info.
Getting bark from a Birch tree (for fishing float) with a node doesn't affect the node.
Pruning overaged Birch tree doesn't affect the node.
Cutting grass (sickle) on a tile with a Birch tree and node, doesn't affect the node.
