I got it from the new blog, http://wurmdev.blogspot.com/. Specifically the part that says, "Right now there is no end functionality for affinities - you don't become the One like in Bladerunner... Yet! ". But I suppose I may have misread.

Right, I just got an affinity in stone chisel, I did not have it before and did not kill anybody (never been on wild) whats up with that? got a skilldump from earlier where I have 15 stone chisel skill and no affinity, and now I do? --[[User:Wckdneer|Wckdneer]] 08:02, 5 February 2009 (CST)

Do you have some quote for this? I've seen logs of Rolf stating that they give you a small skillgain bonus.
